Finding lots of fresh scrapes around and the time must surely be coming. Got a few pictures on my trail cam at night and headed there tonight and Sunday morning hoping one them is moving during daylight hours. Shotgun season starts next Monday.....a week off of bowhunting for me.

Re: Hold onto your hat!!!
I was out tonight in my treestand and it wasn't too bad in the Kitchener area but there were occasional gusts that really took me for a ride!

Re: Taxman's Trail Cam Pics - 2010
I've been to the camera twice since. This camera, the Wildview 3.0 sucks at daytime shots but rocks at night. Last time out I had two shots at 12:30 and 17:00!!!! All whited out. Here's the most recent shots.....two more white outs and a couple of shots at night where nothing's in the pic or just th...

Re: Hunting Story good or bad You decide
When you take a kid out, you've done a good thing.
When they get to see the quarry you're after, you've done a good thing.
When they get to see the shot, you've done a good thing.
When they learn that even the best laid plans can fall apart, you've done a good thing!

19 degress celcius here today. Sitting in a ground blind and what do I hear buzzing in my ear but a damned mosquito? What? We've had freezing temps....where the hell did these things come from?

No I don't think so. I think this is the spot where it was originally trimmed and singed. Maybe because it got wet it started getting loose?

Re: "Rare white deer sighting in Ontario"
Here's the picture of the one I spotted near Ayr (NOT Aylmer!).
I watched them graze for over 5 minutes and as I said, it was cheap 3.1 megapixel camera and they were a long ways off.

Serving - Is This the Beginning of the End?
Noticed this on my serving last night. Seems to be way beyond where the rope cocker would be pulling.
Not sure what to do with it, I lit a match and burned it back down to the serving again.
Is this the beginning of the end?

Hunting Blinds
Went out last night. Seeing how I'm not seeing much, decided to try out a new area and have a hunting blind for just such an occasion. Found a nice spot and turned around to see a ladder stand nearby. Must be a good spot! Nice sitting in these things as the wind doesn't chew through you but I have t...
