Two things can happen if you over tighten. One you can strip the threads, which means to pull the aluminum threads out of the hole. The other thing that can happen is that the bolt can become "stretched". Stretched is a common incorrect term. The correct term is permanent elongated or per...

The ruger ar556 is a great entry level ar platform. But keep in mind not many upgradable options do to it being a ruger design. If u want a complete stock rifle its a great deal.... This biggest flaw I thought it had was a2 gas block being pinned on top. Makes it very hard to swap for a low profile...
