Re: 2019 Excaliburs
The 440 has my attention...if it can be hand cocked. I worry about serving life with any of these new heavy bows. My Matrix 410 has achieved 412fps with a Boo string and a 365gn arrow about 3 years ago. Safe to call it a 420 speed wise. Serving life with latches, heavily poslished in my TT, I get ov...

Re: Allergies
I am brutally allergic to deer, (not the meat though, thank god). I break out into hives on contact and I get the worst sneezing fits and I get all Phlegmy. I let the butcher skin my deer, no other choice. Field dressing and the drag are about all the exposure I can handle...it’s bad.

Re: Back Yard Deer and Noise
I have a 40y bow range at a buddy’s house. I can shoot all I want and the deer don’t mind, they’ll be 100y in the beanfield doing their thing, (area is closed to hunting). But if I take even one step into their field, they’ll turn inside out and bolt. They are accustomed to my presence and the twang...

Re: Unhappy Excalibur Owner
I’ve got a question for the experts here. Will there be any adverse effects in using the Micro 16.5” bolts with the Ibex or Exomax? For the record, they shoot great and do kill deer... 8) Check to ensure the arrow end is longer than the mainframe. If the field point or broadhead is resting on the m...

Re: TRIGGERS
•Grizzly is a Matrix bow, right? •I wouldn’t dare touch the triggers internals without some kind of prior experience with crossbow triggers, it’s just too risky. •All stock Excalibur triggers are awful compared to a TriggerTech and FWIW, that’s the best route if you’re unhappy with a trigger •you co...

Re: Not happy with blood trail
I’d rethink your whole arrow, but that’s just me. You don’t have enough weight up front to use a Lumenock. That Easton arrow is designed for 150gn heads when using an aluminum rear nock. You’ve added weight to the rear of the arrow and the snout is 25gn lighter than it ought to be. Don’t rule out th...

Re: luminocks
I wouldn’t waste good coin on an arrow that is better off being lost in the woods...that’s just me. I LOVE lumenocks, to a point of near obsession, (every single arrow in my 2 dozen have one), I consider it an investment because I value my arrows that much. That being said, they have a small drawbac...

Re: Scope recommendations for 335
And like I said earlier, I target shoot this x-bow. I hunt with my vertical bows. All the more reason you need to check out the HHA. I originally bought the HHA for my M410 to be a “target bow.” I though the cheek weld and weight and cost were dissuading factors; this bow has become my go-to killin...

Re: Serving killer
I had one like that too, Jeff. They polished it and I get very little serving wear. You shouldn’t need to do that with an expensive trigger but it happens. Let’s us know how she goes
