Re: I got some screws loose...
Usually the saying " fling arrows" makes me cringe. I understand your are practicing for hunting. But more often than not , I've seen that saying used for a hunting conversation. Like 15 shots at antelope before a kill. Seriously! ? Dude admited to flinging arrows at animals out to 90 yrds...

Re: Slick trick viper trick
 Vipers are my go to broad head now, for my crossbow. Super accurate and tough as they come. Thinking of going to the new wicked trick as they have a little bigger cutting dia. Never needed tuning as they are easily field point accurate. Good choice, my vipers are loaded up and harvested a ...

 Ok he goes upstate. Chances are he'll be on his own. I can't say what it's worth to others but for me. Knowing someone is down the road , or over the next ridge ,who can lend a hand . It's priceless. Anyplace I've been the buck or doe will run down the steepest hill, or crash thru the thickes...

Re: Making good choices
Had it been rifle season, I'd been tagged out on a big buck. I've been 7 yrs comin to the north woods of wisc. Tagged 2 small 6 points , both crossbow. Hoping he does present a clear shot this season! This doe goes to the landowner. Whose let us use his property and put up stands the last 3 yrs. Our...

Re: Making good choices
muggy and hot humid lazy evening, barely a breeze. Who in there right mind wants to go sit a mosquito filled stand. Had to fix fabric material on my ladder stand, for the next mornings hunt. Better take my crossbow. Its 3:45 . Ugh. It's not gonna be fun. By 4 :15 I'm done. I have yet to sit the new ...

Re: Totally unexpected
We were convinced it most likely hit bone, shoulder! He was shooting a missions crossbow with all items from package. Weights etc .?? 100 gr. Wasp Jackhammer. Thk 320 fps. bolt actually within a few feet on where buck took the impact. Like I said only about an inch showed signs of blood on the bolt....

Totally unexpected
 Third trip into the N.Woods, this crossbow season. Mature does and anything with at least 6 points on the menu. With a couple bigger bucks on the hit list. Till this morning we've seen nothing but 2 does with fawns and little couple young girls. With a few spikes thrown in. The weather hasn'...

Re: This long range stuff is outta hand
Xigo --- your dad was right for and your style of hunting on your ranch. Not to knock it. , but come on a public whttail hunt in places like Arizona. Being able to accurately and confidently take an ethical shot out to 400+ yrds. Maybe the only chance you'll get. Most archers I know who bow hunt the...
