Re: Paulaboutform

Forgot he was likely to be wandering back East... Needed someone with a good eye to have a boo at a bow I am seriously considering (for a Buddy! I ain't about to let go of the 380!). Called him up, and Sure, No Problem... When I get home ... Splained the trials and tribulations of this latest...

Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!

Next Report: Met again with the surgeon yesterday. Bubble in the eye has shrunk perhaps 2/3's now, so I "tested" what I could " see " the day before. Suffice it to say, my nerves were so bad following that I actually was puking in the am... After a careful exam, the SawBones said...

Re: Yet Another Trigger Tech Question

So, I did have a chat with Quinn in their Warranty Department. Nice fellow. Turns out the single stage 1.75 lb trigger is indeed on recall. Discussed the options, and under the recall it would have to simply be replaced. Not desirable to me, as they do not make a "replacement" that has tha...

Re: Yet Another Trigger Tech Question

.... I believe he will tell you to send it in just to be on the safe side.. Thanks, I will ask for him specifically. I sure a heck do NOT want to send it in unless it is required. As I gave away the original trigger, these two are all I have. Being without, this close to the beginning of the season...

Yet Another Trigger Tech Question

So as the recall keeps jumping up on this and other hunting forums, I finally decided even though I am confident in them, I had better take a look... The first was a custom 1.75 lb single stage they sent out as a replacement for the 1.5 lb trigger that failed in my Matrix 380. Serial Number is: 4389...

Re: No Boofest for Me

Woosh! Bit of a scare there alright! Hope you see a complete & swift recovery!! As for BooFest, as soon as I saw the rules posted regarding no booze, and no guns, I simply knew I wouldn't be makin' it... In reality, what with staring down yet another eyeball surgery, and the shindi...

Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!

Hang in there buddy! LOL! I offered the exact same thing on one of the hunting forums here lately. Handful of braggarts were jumping all over one poor fellow regarding his decision to use a brake. Two were going on about 220 grain loads in the 338's and how if they could deal with it, anyone else s...

Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!

You got me thinking about some of my long guns Matt! Loosened a molar with one of them! LOL! Sighted in my 300 Weatherby with some pretty hot loads last summer. Buddy wanted to give it a try. Could not hit paper with the 3rd round and his eyes watered for a full day afterwards! Impressive H...

Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!

Matt, do you have to be in that sucker all day? Had to be pretty well all day alright. Was a tough row to hoe! Where do you sleep? Had another brace for the bed. Head hangs over the edge of the bed into it: http://gallery.fishbc.com/albums/Ironnoggin/Bed_Brace.jpg Managed to get about 2 hou...

Re: Trigger tech recall

Maybe a mistake on my part...

But I figure if the two TT's I run haven't failed with thousands upon thousands of shots through them, I am not even going to bother pulling them to look at numbers...
