Re: scope's
It’s not crossbow specific, but I’ve been using Leupold VXR Patrols and Leupold Mark AR Mod-1s in 1.25-4x for the last 5 years. They are bright, extremely lightweight and have usable illumination. The reticle subtensions in the Special Purpose Reticle aren’t perfect for crossbow use, but they are c...

Re: Ramcat Hydroshock-X
If they fit in the Dr. Stirrup quiver, it's excellent. If not, Alpine Archery had a Soft Lok Quiver that grips the arrow in 2 spots mid shaft and the hood is filled with foam that you press the broadhead into. It's very quiet and I know it would work....something to think about. :eusa-think: Paul I...

Re: My swhacker experience
Might add that my vertical bow arrows were about 354 total grains. Well thats weird. I'll let you guys know if i ever have issues with them. They work too good for me to even think of switching at this point. Hit where i aim drop deer fast awesome blood trails. The neighbours kid I have been helpin...

Re: My swhacker experience
Let me say that my experience ended while using vertical bow, a Hoyt at 28" draw set to 68 pounds at 12 yards. Dead deer, no blood for about 35 yards, then tons of blood. Luckily I seen the path the deer took, so no biggie, and it was about 8:45 AM, so no rush either. Arrow did a great job, ju...

Re: My swhacker experience
Simply google" schwacker not getting full penetration" Many others on various forums reported poor penetration but All claim the deer died and it wasn't an issue. I'm not downing the broadhead here it killed the deer .lm just pointing out that it is not known for its penetration look it u...

Point me to these other sources please. They have worked flawlessly for me. I like to see both sides of the coin.longbow joe wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 7:54 pmFrom reading other sources also it seems to be normal not to get passthrough but every one still finds their deer and keeps loyally using them. Ohh well what do l know.

Re: My swhacker experience
I have them not pass through once. Well twice kind of. First was my fault 100%. Buck was under my stand out 5 yards. I hit spine and both lungs. Second was 3 weeks ago. Buck was close again almost same spot but maybe 10 yards out. Perfect close lung and heart. I watched him runnoff to my amazement w...

Re: What’s the best replacement scope?
Best is subjective. I like simplicity of a single crosshair or dot in my Mark AR MOD 1 leupold firedot reticle. I sight it in for 25 to 30 yards and im good to my hunting range of up to 45 without thinking. Missed a few shoots with those multiple crosshair scopes in the heat of the moment. The mark ...

Re: Get out and vote!
It's a sensitive issue in most households, but remember that some people just think status quo is safer than changing. I don't think your Mother In Law voted the Jerk in by herself, do I think you should share your venison, well nope! Oh i have no doubt she wasn't the deciding vote but..... I am al...

Paul..... my Mother in law earned her nickname on the weekend. She told me she voted Liberal?! :silent: :eusa-deadhorse: I was astonished that such an educated person would vote for him. I aslo quickly locked my freezer told her she is no longer welcome to my venison and asked for my hou...
