Re: Ghost Blind Sale

It seems to me that the Ghost Blind has one distinct attribute. There is no time period needed for the animals to get used to its presence. It can be set down anywhere in an open field or wooded area and it looks like nothing. A standard blind may look like it should be there but it can be seen and ...

Re: Is anyone out there using WOOD ARROWS ?

As I stated earlier, there is tons of very specific information on strength and characteristics of the different woods. Unfortunately, the generic or common names will not work. Do you have the scientific/botanical name of the wood you are using? It would also be nice to know where it could be purch...

Re: Is anyone out there using WOOD ARROWS ?

To all those that dismiss wooden bolts out-of-hand, keep in mind that wood has well-documented strength records and is used in critical/structural applications all the time. Because it has some already mentioned attributes that make it a good choice for a hunting projectile, it would be nice to see ...

Re: What Happened

I hate to be the one to say it but we have done this to ourselves. One really good bow, or anything else for that matter, is not enough it seems. We wait with bated breath as each new season approaches looking for the next great addition to our growing collections. The companies are giving us exactl...

It would be less confusing if people didn't use the terms draw length and power stroke interchangeably. They are not the same thing.

Re: I might need a C2 crank

I can't remember the exact size but it was a hex head and about 3/8" x 1/2". This is a picture of the Excalibur part. I took it to the hardware store to make sure I got the right size. It also required that the new screw be shaped similarly to the original part. That is the front tapered t...

Re: I might need a C2 crank

For those of you that use the C2 often enough that you get tired of taking it on and off between shots, this might interest you. I took off the big brass knob set screw and replaced it with a flush one. It does take some getting used to but it stays on all the time now and I love it.

Re: I might need a C2 crank

The C2 crank is such a great tool! I am surprised they are not used by more of us. My body has good days and not good days. That all makes no difference with the C2. It is so good that I took off the big brass attachment knob and using a flush set screw mounted it permanently on my Exocet.

..... When aiming at the same spot, the 16" arrow hit 3.5" higher than the 20" arrow of the same weight. This got me to wondering if the FOC of the arrows was causing this delta. In either case, I was surprised.... Man, DuckHunt, you are doing some great testing! Keep up the good wor...

Re: Speed penalty from aggressive helical fletch?

....So it only sheds 22 fps over 50 yards when fletched with the EZ-Fletch Bolt. That's <.5fps/yard....As far as I'm concerned, that confirms to me that the aggressiveness of the fletching does not have enough impact on arrow speed to be concerned about at it normal hunting distances.... That is so...
