Re: Pre Rut action
I had a small buck not sure what, at an active rub Friday morning at about 7 on Friday 40 yards from one of my blinds I could hear him at it for a few seconds and man did he stink!

Re: what should i do
Okay thanks. I've only been out a couple times, opening day and Saturday for morning hunts. Being since my mother can only deal with my puppy for so long. But so far I've spooked a couple on the way in, and had what it looked like a small buck rub a tree 40ish yards away. Him I tried to stalk but th...

Re: what should i do
I kinda figured as much. I've got a couple spots where I've had them 40 yards away now. and I guess done a half decent job of hiding in plain sight.
thanks for the input

what should i do
here's my issue a few years ago I took a spill and fractured my kneecap. it's obviously not going to be the same. I can still walk on it okay< but when it comes to sitting for a while I'm in trouble. I'll become uncomfortable and it occasionally locks up. I thought about getting another climber, but...

Same here. I work afternoons so I'll be out right after work Thursday morning.
I've not had a smile on my face or an excitement this intense for anything.

Re: It's been a while
Thanks all. I'll keep you posted on how I do. And I hope to read alot of stories in the following weeks. I was out at my one of my spots yesterday and came across what looks to be a bedding area and alot of foot traffic. Found a couple what I think are pretty big prints, so I'm hoping I've come acro...

It's been a while
So. for the first time in 9 seasons I'll be on this wild adventure on my own. Scouting, sighting in my bow, looking for the best places to camp out, and hoping to harvest a big swamp critter. I've always had the old man, and his pals help me out with places to sit, advice and well pretty much show m...

Re: looking for help
Good day jr, I hope you are who I think you are, if so, welcome back. In the old days you would have had to go into Queens Park in Toronto and show some proof of previous hunting licence, but in todays world with computers, there should be some record in the government computers (at the local servi...
