NuFletch Ignitor
I just got a pack of Ignitors, and haven't installed them yet. I did try to fit the plastic nock into the aluminum insert, and they are a little tight. Does anyone else have this problem? I had to insert something flat in the gap and twist, to gently pry it up. I'm guessing from the mold there was a...

Re: Matrix 380 - FOC - broadhead weight?
Thanks for the info. I had a hard time deciding on broadheads, and didn't want to overlook anything. I was going to try out the NAP Spitfire XXX, but it seems everyone has the regular version and not the specific one for crossbows. No worries, I can try them later. I ended up ordering some Ramcat Cr...

Matrix 380 - FOC - broadhead weight?
I have a Matrix 380, and am just reading on FOC (front of center) for arrows (which is all new to me). I currently have on order from South Shore a dozen 18" zombie slayers with 92g brass inserts. So far I'm planning on using a 100 grain broadhead. I came across an article about the Excalibur B...

Re: ....just got my first pistol permit in Joisey (help!)
If you buy any ammo, I usually check gun-deals.com. It is usually cheaper to buy ammo by the case, pay no sales tax and have it shipped to your door. If you order from Cabela's they usually have sales on ammo and they always have a promotion where if you spend $99, shipping is only $5 (just bought a...

Re: ....just got my first pistol permit in Joisey (help!)
Congratulations on getting your permit in 3 weeks. That must be a new record in NJ. For the price, you can't go wrong with the Glock. Are you using this gun for self-defense or for just target shooting? ...or most likely both? Make sure you get one that fits your hand. I like the Glock 19,...

Ignitors are on sale for $20 shipped, for a 3-pack. I just bought a 3-pack in green to try out on my Zombies.

Re: Jack Pine string?
Ron, Thanks. I ended up sending him a PM to ask about a 40 strand string for my Matrix 380, and this is the reply I got. It looks like the materials have changed, so 40 strand isn't necessary. :D Strand counts can seem a little over simplistic because many people assume all strands of all materials ...

Re: Wyvern Creations Deal ?
I just bought a bare Matrix 380 Mad Max from Wyvern. I think it was a good deal, as I didn't want the factory optics or bolts. I was looking at a new Axiom locally for $500, and for a little more I was able to buy a better bow and add accessories later. I'm waiting for my arrows to come in now, and ...

Thanks for the info. It figures, I just bought one from him off of ebay. I'll have to see if I can get the 40 strand string.

Re: Matrix 380 or Micro?
I had the exact same dilemma. I wanted the extra speed and extended range, but the 405 was overkill and cost a lot more. I ended up buying the 380, and from everything I've read I made the right choice. I'm just waiting for arrows and a target to test mine out.

Re: New Matrix 380, what arrows?
Ordered a dozen arrows today, as recommended by South Shore Archery': 18" zombie slayer 110g brass inserts 2" Blazers RH Helical Setback 1 1/8 in Flat aluminum nocks I passed on the illuminated nocks for now, they aren't exactly cheap when you're buying a dozen at a time. I'll pick up a c...

Re: New Matrix 380, what arrows?
I looked at South Shore Archery's website and the arrow options were confusing, so I send them an e-mail. I mentioned the recommendations I got from here, and this is what they recommended. I'm planning on ordering a dozen arrows to begin with, so I just wanted to see what you guys think. 18" z...

That's only up North. You'll never hear Joisey down here! Think of it as Sopranos up North, and Duck Dynasty down South!xcaliber wrote:Another hunter from Joisey! You guys have a great season, good luck to you all!
