PICKED SOME UP
Walking in my local Gander Mountian store I was suprise to see some Rage 2 crossbow heads . Since W.I. is so anti crossbow I didn't think they would carry them ,So I grabbed them and ran to the check out before a (real bowhunter) saw me. Now I"ll have to wait until it stops raining and I get th...

Fixed Blade vs Mechanical
I have been using muzzy 3 blade with my vertical bow .I was going to use them with my x-cal ,but my first hunt with it will be in windy Wyo. So I'm thinking of going with Rage 2 for crossbows ,I heard the expanding heads catch less wind.I still want my shots under 30 yards, but past hunts 40 yards w...

Re: How to line up fletching with broadhead blades?
Boo.
Item looks like it would work pretty good .I made something similiar to that ,not as nice but it works.I wish I could post a pic of it ,but I'm not quite up to speed with technology.

Re: How to line up fletching with broadhead blades?
I have 3 arrows with vanes inline 3 not inline they are within .005 T.I.R with a spin checker. They fly the same at 45 yards. But if you have the insert in and want to get them inline it won't take much. The threads are 8-32 that means 1 full revolution every 1/32 of an inch or .030 . the most you wo...

Re: Question about broadheads by a newbie.
Welcome Goose Smasher, I'm new at crossbows too, but it seems to be alot like vertcal archery, some people get everything to shoot the same out of the box ,but most of us have to play around a little bit to get things just so ,but thats what makes all archery so fun! I my self have blazers on firebol...

Re: Excalibur Axiom??
FooFoo,
Rails seam to be the same length and the top is smooth on the SMF. I really can't find anything wrong with it. Just my luck if I waited another year to buy mine ,I could of saved $100.But I would have missed out on alot of fun!!!

Re: Excalibur Axiom??
STRUM It seams the SMF might be a little faster and maybe a little quietier ,which sucks because thats my brother-in-laws . But I don,t know for sure it just seams that way. when sighted in at 20 yards they both hit within 2 inches vertical at 50 yards. which tells me they have the same speed.

Re: Excalibur Axiom??
Just came inside from shooting both types of axioms , about 50 arrows each , from 10 to 50 yards . We like the scopes they come with . with 380 grain arrows the chevons are about right on. The SMF model takes some getting use to looking at but shoots great .Being a machinist for over 30 years I have...

Re: Where do we draw the line?
I don't care if folks shoot immature deer to put in the freezer if that's what satisfies them. That's all well and good with me. However, when those same folks complain about never seeing any mature deer or never having a shot at a mature buck...then they had best realize that if they let the young...
