Good post Laura it may save someone else from having the same thing happen to them .
A follow up shot is the way to go.
I am impressed that you neck shoot Deer with your .44 you must be pretty comfortable with it.

I second the WD40 it will take the adhesive from price tags off of things I now that
just use a little scent free soap to clean up after.

I always feel some apprehension when I have shoot a Deer with a bow until recovery .

No explanation needed here it is a sweet handling bow but you better get the pink one if you are trying to fool the wife :lol:
I really do not need 12 ice fishing rods or 2 30.06 springfields or 5 recurve vertical bows but then again I do if I want to be happy.

I would stay with the factory string for awhile in case of a dry fire it will help protect the bow .
You can up grade latter when she has well established her loading routine.

For the veins use Fletch tite and the inserts use Ferrel tite or any hot melt you can not go wrong have used these for 30 years and they have never let me down.

Talk them into an Axiom from Excalibur go to the home page on this site and you can check it out it is the most affordable set up of the Excalibur line you get the bow , quiver ,4 bolts with tips the scope with base and rings for $520 you will have to get a rope cockier separate around $24 better to...
