I doubt that the string broke because it was a brand new string. I put a new one on right before the hunting trip and took maybe 5 shots with it to make sure my scope was still well adjusted. My buddy is still up there at the camp and was going to keep an eye out to try and find it. I hope he does.

Well i`m a little more reassured now knowing this is not a common thing to happen. And yes, it was nerve racking..lol. It scared the crap out of me. Especially not being able to find the part of the limb that broke off and the string it must a flew away with a lot of force. Lucky for me it wasn't in...

What's up with my string?
I bought my crossbow used and this is how the string looks like. there is gaps in the serving (I think its called serving...correct me if im wrong) Is this normal? Or should I not use it like this? Yeah that will be awesome. I do hope we get a Bull but who knows... I know for sure though that we will get a Cow tag for sure because we are a group. I hope we can call them too but I know they don't respond to that as much as a bull would...

The Vari Zone scope is setup so that if you have your cross hair set a 20 yards, the 1st chevron is 30, 2nd 40 and last chevron is 50 yards. And also the one above the cross hair is 10 yards. That lighted nocks trick sounds like a pretty good idea. I didn't think they made any for crossbow arrows but i`ll look into right now. I was planning on getting a florescent orange wrap though or something similar.
