Is the hold down spring tight enough to keep the arrow from slipping forward? If you are new at this it is easy to bend the hold down spring when cocking the crossbow. Yes and I have a picture here so you can see. Maybe I am doing something wrong? However, I did the same thing I did on Friday.

Did you try the other string you had with the package? Possibly the end loops have stretched out .

Which nocks did it come with? Are they flat?

@Janesy - Supposedly this string that came on it is brand new. The nocks are a universal nock. I will post pictures.

Get yourself a comfortable chair that puts you at the correct height at the Ground Blind's shooting window. You should also have something to rest the crossbow on to steady it.
