Re: Long range shooters

... To extend that range you may want to look into an HHA Optimizer along with a better scope. OR ... May just collect another scope? I have no problems getting 2-3" groups at 100 yards with the Hawke on my M 380. And, I basically consider a 65 yard shot to be a bit of a " Ch...

Re: Wanted =Honest opinions on Hawke scope.

While the original scope that came with my M 380 was "ok", it was just that. I put the Hawke XB 30 Compact on her, and have never looked back. Crystal clear, great light gathering and two colors of illumination. I shoot commonly to 100 yards, and that scope is largely the reason why. Only ...

Re: Recommend a 20- 100 yard ballistic scope reticle

... I did find a shop that has both the Hawke scopes and the Ravin crossbows in stock close to me, so I'll be checking them out side by side this next week. Nice. Let us know your thoughts. At first glance the Raven scope seems bulky and heavy, and the sight area does appear a little more cluttered...

A Little Good News

Been sitting around recovering from the first of three impending eye surgeries. Doc's ain't letting me do a lot, so it's pretty damn boring alright. Last year I once again applied for a Crossbow Permit in Alberta. Long story shorter, my left shoulder is basically useless these years. They never have...

Re: Recommend a 20- 100 yard ballistic scope reticle

... As for the Hawke, we have a forum member named Ironoggin who is crazy tough on his equipment and probably one of the most insane hardcore hunters you can hear about. He swears by the toughness of the Hawke and he's also a 100yard shooter.... LOL! Thanks Buddy... I think... I wanted exactl...

Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!

Hello Folks, We traveled down to Victoria today to meet once again with the surgeon who operated on my right eye a little better than a week ago. Just back home. Here are the findings: The retina that had detached from the wall of the eye has been successfully re-attached, and is continuing to heal....

DANG IT!. .....me too. I was thinking about it last week and got distracted. Oh well, seeing as my road tripping huntin partner is layed up and playin 'pirate' while he's on the mend we'll have to try another time. Apologies to the OP and to you Buddy. Re: Sound suppression

I've taken a decent handful of bucks well out beyond 40 yards, and right up to "point blank". Although I initially tried a few things to quieten my M380 down at when I first got it, I have long since given up in that pursuit. Sure it is a little on the loud side. Never Ever had that make a...

Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!

For the first time since the surgery, I can kind of "see" the gas bubble that was inserted into my eye to keep it inflated. Appears to have shrunk perhaps 1/5 of it's original diameter. Now we wait for it to dissipate completely... Fledgling step, but a positive one methinks... :D Cheers, ...
