Rinehart 18-1 targets, and arrow removal?

I know that Danny Miller has the best puller for these targets, but I have heard about people lubing the ends of the arrow shafts for an easier removal. What are you using? Or find that works best? I want one to practice with, and maybe get a Tom this year.....Thanks.....RR

Re: swhackers?

Shot 2 does with my Phoenix using Swhackers. First was a small one from a blind. Complete pass through. Deer went maybe 30yrds. The second took 2 shots. The first shot the deer was quartering away and the shot was a little farther back than I would have liked, but it did drop in her tracks. The deer...

Re: Boofest 2014 for all members - July 26th and 27th

Call me crazy but I believed him about the Kodabow. I was at least willing to give him the chance till boofest to follow through. I don't think anyone is that low to offer such a thing for a benefit of a kid and then renege. I had hope for him. "There's one born every minute". And a whole...

Re: turkey broadheads

Don,t think its which broadhead you use,Shot placement is more important as with any game! Yep, turkey's are really tough, shot placement is the key. Since you brought up shot placement, where is the best place to hit them? Aim for the base of the neck? I have heard of some trying to pin the wings,...

Buying Allen wrenches from Lowes is also part of the problem. Even though they are new, they are still cheap......RR

Re: Feral Hog Hunt

I emailed a friend who lives in Culpeper county and I'm going to call the Culpeper Farm Bureau to see if they can hook me up with a farmer in need. I'll also see if I can get in touch with Chuck of Kodabow. I hope we have some here that are half as big as those browns in AK  I was going to sug...

Re: Meat grinder

I have a meat grinder from Gander Mtn. Bought it several years ago, at least 4 maybe 5yrs. It's a 1hp. Been great. No problems. Most times, I'm grinding the left over little chunks, but sometimes may be a front shoulder or hind quarter. 2 yrs ago I ran the whole deer through it, of course cut down i...

Re: Deer Processin Durin Hot Temps

After I get the hide off, I wash the carcass down with a mixture of salt and vinager . It not only keeps the critters off, it also seals the meat to aid the aging process . I only let my meat hang until it stops dripping then process it. Usually two to three days. Hank You don't shake it a few time...

Re: Almost "screwed" Need Help

What??? If you heat the bolt, it'll expand in side the aluminium, and make it tighter,'especially of trying to cool the Al at the same time. I would try to make the rope stirup and get the string off, and then the limbs. A little heat on the al, and a good pair of vise grips,'and slowly turn back an...
