I carry 4 for whitetail hunting.
I don't want to be judgmental, but I'll say that making an animal suffer as discussed above doesn't fit into my own personal ethics. I can only surmise that shooting wolves is illegal and BrotherRon doesn't want to get caught.

Re: Warranty Vixen's Limbs
This is only for the old carved limbs not any of the new models. We are charging $80.00 for a replacement set of limbs. I have been working here 14 years and have never had anybody question our level of customer service or our warranty. Trust me, this is a non-issue being made into a big issue. Tha...

Re: New Sound Supression System
Seriously...how much additional crap do you need on your crossbow? Meh, to each their own. If someone wants to go all-out to get the quietest crossbow possible, then more power to them. For those that like it minimalist, that's great too. I'm somewhere in-between... I figure the 80/20 rule is fairl...

Re: Warranty Vixen's Limbs
This is getting blown way out of proportion. We have not changed our warranty at all. We have been charging an upgrade fee for old carved limbed models for years with no problem. Mr. Vixenmaster is just not happy about it and now thinks its a good idea to tell the world which is his right to do so....

Re: Decocking micro 335
If you don't have any problems cocking it, you won't have any issues decocking it. That one hand will still be holding the same amount of weight... just as if you were using both hands (one on each handle).

Re: 335 Micro Expected Accuracy?
Well the up and down is not bad but he left and right can vary between 2 and 4" to the left at 40yds. Something's going wrong then. Is every screw tight on the crossbow? Are you cocking it consistently? Cheek weld consistent from shot to shot? You know... all the usual stuff. :) Do you...

Re: Micro 355 a few questions on bolts/accuracy
And actually, let me clarify a little. Assuming your inserts can be turned (as with hot glue, a lock 'n load insert, or whatever), turning them can definitely change the point of impact a little. But there was no correlation between tighter groups and aligning the broadhead blades with the vanes. Th...

Re: Micro 355 a few questions on bolts/accuracy
So you are saying tuning does not help accuracy? I tried aligning the blades with the vanes, and found it didn't make any difference with my setup. Honestly, no difference at all in group size out to 60 yards shooting from a bench. If you have a particularly large fixed-blade broadhead, you might n...

Re: Confused newbie with ?s on broadhead wt
Slick Trick has a 150 & 175g version. Both would work well. The 170g FOC works great also. That arrow works better with at least a 150g broadhead. 175g is not too much. I haven't been able to find the 175 grain XBow Tricks for a while now... not even online. Do you have a source for them? 150 g...

They'll stick out past the stirrup a little. If you can live with that, they'll shoot fine.

Re: Stripping factory fletching
I've used acetone on aluminum shafts. Worked great for that application. Is there a problem using it on carbon arrows?

Re: nikon bolt vs hawk?
I find that the Nikon Bolt Xr is light, short, rugged, accurate & reliable. Nikon has one of the best warranties and excellent CS if ever needed. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a390/Travis299/IMG_2591.jpg How is the bolt in low light, meaning the last 5 mins I took a doe last season with 30 ...

Re: slugged arrows
Benefits- an ultra durable arrow that's very stiff (which should lead to increased precision). I have a couple of reasons for preferring an aluminum shaft, but unfortunately they're not as stiff as Spynal Tapps or some other carbon shafts. The extra weight will increase penetration, sure... but I do...

Re: slugged arrows
That's interesting- I imagine the 2216 / 2016 combo was a very tight fit. The 2216 ID should be 22/64 - .032 or 0.31175"... and the 2016 OD should be 20/64 or 0.3125"... so in theory the 2016 shouldn't actually fit at all. Those numbers are all "theoretical"; I didn't measure the...
