Re: Shot my new turkey choke
Looks like a good lead pattern to me. Dead turkey. I spent a lot of time over at Old Gobbler forums this year trying to find a good recommended load/choke combo. For lead, the Winchester XX and Super are recommended and for no lead they prefer Hevi 3" - 2 oz. - #7 shot. I bought both and am usi...

Re: Arrows XX75 Vs Firebolt
they been holding up well I target shoot mostly with them and hunt also because there so accurate with blazers and brass inserts and 100 or 125 gr broadheads. Thanks. I normally shoot 2117 but I'd like to try a lightweight XX75 but wasn't sure about the durability of the 2114 because of the thin wa...

Re: Old model Axiom questions
That is the version of the axiom I shoot and like it a lot. It's basically a phoenix with no dissipator bars.(more or less) I would think that $450-$500 range would be more in line price wise. Thanks wolv, I called the dealer and he said I could get it for about $450+tax. You were right on the money...

Old model Axiom questions
I went into the local shop today to pick up some vanes and saw that they still have a "new" old style Axiom crossbow with the aluminum rail. It's priced at $539 but they should do some dealing. Can anyone comment on this model? What's it really worth? I really don't need it but if I could ...

Re: Hawke 1.5-5 X 32 Scope
Yep you heard right. It actually has aiming points out to 100 yards. I've only tried it out to 60 though. If I can get a picture of the reticle illustration I'll post it.Pydpiper wrote:It is a tough looking scope.
Did I read right, they have a 60 yard chevron as well?

Hawke 1.5-5 X 32 Scope (100 yd. Reticle pic added)
I received my new scope and rings from Wyvern Creations in record breaking time. Thanks again for all the help. I took my time installing the rings and mounting it to the Vortex and all went well. Sighting in was straight forward with only a few clicks of adjustment and only a few shots needed to ge...

Will do.
I hope to get it this week and have it dialed in by this weekend's opening turkey season.

Re: Shadow-Zone Scope
Called Dave at Wyvern Creations today and talked about scopes. He seemed pretty excited about Hawke's new 1.5-5 X 32 SR crossbow scope. Even though it's new, all the ones he has sold, everyone likes them. It has a $25 rebate and offered to work with me on something else if I don't like it. So I orde...

Re: Shadow-Zone Scope
I put one on my Vortex last fall before deer season started. I'm very pleased with it. It seems a bit brighter than the Varizone and the lit reticles are awesome in low light conditions. I have roughly 1000 shots on it an it has held up flawlessly. I would reccomend this scope to anyone who is inte...

Shadow-Zone Scope
After a lot of searching I didn't see a lot of reviews or opinions on the Shadow-Zone scope and wondered how many of you have one and how you like it. Georgiaboy has one and likes it (thanks) but would like to hear more opinions. Wyvern has a new Hawke scope. An illuminated 1.5-5 that looks good but...

Re: Hawke Sport HD IR 2-7x32
The Hawke 2-7X32 IR came today. Just opened the box and read through the instructions to get familiar with it. Here's a few pics just to give ya'll an idea of what it looks like. It seems to be well built and solid. One thing I did notice right away is that it has some weight to it. It's heavier tha...
