Good luck frisky

It is hell getting older. I am in the same boat, however, I have been pushing it off until the end of the year (if I can wait that long). Good luck and from what I hear, make sure you have a good lazyboy type chair to sleep in the first week or so. Don't take or mix the fun pills with the demon wate...

Great site & Welcome

I was a newbie to the site about a year ago. I don't post much but the people and material here are first class. I have made it a routine over morning coffee to hit the site a read as much as I can.

Good luck in IL, anytime you can spend in the field regardless of the implement is a great day. :D

The liniment is not a joke.

I used the same materials (originally from Upstate NY) and my father swore by it. In high school & college, when I have a joint or muscle problem, out came the horse liniment. As one of the previous posters indicated, don't wrap it, it will burn the skin if you do. Good luck and hurry back (some...

Brad,

I am a happy owner of a Vortex and the power/speed of the bow is amazing. You will be happy that you got the Excalibur, great bow. Next step is to get the STS add on and of course the Boo string (my next purchase).

TC Omega, Nikon Omega BDC 3x9 scope, TC 250 gr Sabots, being pushed by 2 sticks of Jim Shockey's Gold. The Gold is great from a clean up perspective, very little residue and I don't have to swab every third shot. Obviously more pricey, however, more time spent shooting is worth it.

My friends and I have a saying: Never underestimate the apathy or stupidity of the American public. We see this exercise every 2-4 years during election time when the public is more concerned with 30 sec. sound bites versus the substance of candidates. So yes, what you linked us to is probably possi...

You won't go wrong with either the .270 of the .30-06, however, given the wide variety of bullet choices, I prefer the '06. I have owned both the Rugar M77 (sold it for money in college, what a mistake) and later a Winchester Model 70. The Model 70 is probably not as good as the Remington or Rugar, ...
