You know he is their go get him and turn that regret into a sweet reward with a close encounter kill. Maybe try a doe decoy if you have one the second rut should be kicking in.

That is normal but just make sure your brace height is between the markings on the rail, with a new string it may be in front of the mark closest to the trigger to begin with but it will soon stretch and be between the marks. I keep my brace height around a factory string width behind the mark close...

All the above advice is good stuff but one thing not mentioned is burn a whole in the target with your eyes so to speak.This with a good follow through,steady trigger pull and a firm but not tense bow hold will get you good results. The only other difference is the camo pattern Vortex is Real Tree A.P. and the Exocet is Real Tree Hardwoods both are great patterns in my mind.
Both bows are a great choice I like the thumb hole stock others do not.

It is always nice to harvest a Deer in the snow the visual contrast are vivid making for great mental pictures.
