Reisterer stock build

I finally got around to putting money down on this. Mike is making me a stock for my matrix 380 blackout. :eusa-dance: Its probably a bit boringly styled compared to his usual peices. I am going for a classic rifle look stock in black walnut with metal trigger guard. Basically in the same vein as so...

Re: Red dot scope

It was good to read this thread. I'd like to try a red dot as I dont need magnfication and shoot all sorts of firearms to 75+ yards with red dots. The issue I was worried about was whether the reverse recoil aspect of a crossbow can shake a red dot apart like air rifles apparently can?

Re: Why the black crossbows

Ive never worn camo hunting, I guess we don't need it here. I prefer conservative lines and tones on weapons as well. Its always struck me strange that for rifle hunting we choose normal stocks and profiles 90% of the time for all our 0-400 yards shooting. But when we want a crossbow which is techni...

wooden wolverine stocks

Hi guys, thinking of getting a riesterer custom wood stock done at last for my matrix 380. I'm going for a conservative rifle look. One of the stocks I liked the look of was the limited run of wooden stocks excalibur did for wolverines in the day. I can only find one reference online and wondered if...

Re: Sighting in matrix 380 first time

Well thanks for all the help on this thread and previously, but I have decided to sell the beast. I didn't have any in my state I knew of to test, I had to order it blind, but I put as much research into it as possible for about a year,( not to mention about 5 months of approvals/imports to get all ...

Re: Sighting in matrix 380 first time

...well looks a bit tricky for gorilla size soldiers.I am not much of a tinkerer to tell the truth. Sending it to 'the armorer' usually saves me tears and money.

The retailer suggested just sending back the trigger box, are their breakdowns anywhere on how to do this? Or is this more technical?

Re: Sighting in matrix 380 first time

yes its been too long, onoing saga of waiting for stuff to arrive to my remote part of the world. Lastly was a rhinehart target, then sorting out the legalities and logistics. Crazily these are now registered firearms in my state, harder to own than centrefires, needed to get it seriel numbered, fin...

Re: Sighting in matrix 380 first time

Thanks for the advice Robert. In Australia so will see what warranty options our distributors have. Otherwise I will learn how to do it. A bit peeved I am polishing parts on a $1000+ item to get it working properly though, should be an easy enough check at the factory I would have thought? VM yes gu...

Sighting in matrix 380 first time

Good gosh its not as easy as it looks is it. Back and forth from the target, on at 20, off at 30 and 40, stuff loosening, I think I bent an arrow which threw things out for quite a bit. The middle bit of the string, I assume the serving is looking very haggard now, reminds me to check the manual I a...

matrix 380 extras

Gents being in a remote area of the planet and planning to do some extended duration hunts shortly what extras would you recommend to keep a new 380 functioning through worse case scenarios. I haven't had any problems since testing it out, but on the off chance something does occur I don't want to m...

Re: Speed test results Matrix 380 & Bulldog 400

These differences are dissappointing to see. Velocity should be fairly standard and similar to advertised. I always felt excalibur shouldnt have gone chasing speed so much in these compact bows, maybe stopped at 355 . Anything higher made full size like a faster exomax.

about to use matrix 380 first time- three quick questions

The factory string is flush up against the rubbers. I am unclear as to whether to twist/adjust brace height for this string type or is it only flemish strings need to do this? I was going to test the factory diablo with field tips on a rhinhart 18-1 target. 1. Is it okay to use field tips on this ta...
