Re: Tactzone Scopes
I put the one on Kong that Steve sent to me. I can see the outside edge halo thru glass, but it is usuable scope. I suppose if'en you relied on the very edge of the scope glass to see what head gear a deer had it would be lackin in very good detail. In reality jus wait a second n the deer will ente...

Re: Redfield Revenge Scope
Leupold sells tons of optics, so it's understandable that they're busy year round. Not having to use Leupold warranty for some time, but they usually send a card when they receive your optic. Usually short turn time, but obviously depends on the repair and parts. I've never called them on warranty w...

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
Leupold turkey plex zero is 25 yards. I hold behind the front shoulder center of lungs from 0 - 30 yards. No worry about hold over or aiming points.

Re: Problem
Excal bases are "Weaver" bases. Now, what does this mean to you? Boiled down, it means that accessories designed for a Weaver system will, in most cases, fit on a “Picatinny” system. The reverse, however, is probably not the case. Due to the larger recoil groove, “Picatinny” accessories w...

Re: Crossbones ?
Selecting a Leupold scope for your Excalibur would be the best decision you will ever make. I have a Leupold VX-I 2-7x33mm shotgun/muzzleloader NWTF edition scope with the Turkey Plex reticle on my Matrix 355. Its mounted with Leupold rifleman detachable low rings. I use the center reticle for 0-30 ...

Re: What scope Is best?
Leupold duplex firedot found on the VX•R 2-7x33mm would be my choice. My personal leupold's don't have illuminated reticles since the clarity of a Leupold scope eliminates the need. Leupold's are the lightest and the clearest all with their full lifetime warranty and stellar customer service. Andrew

Re: New Excalibur Deadzone scope
My first Excalibur scope was the Shadow-Zone scope that came with my Equinox. I soon discovered the Shadow-Zone was Chinese made, so I sold it off including Excalibur rings. I bought a lightly used Leupold VX-I 2-7x33mm shotgun/muzzleloader scope. Mounted it with Leupold rifleman detachable low rin...

Re: Whitetails are remarkable "machines"
Very though animals indeed. I've shot a deer that flipped over from a double lung heart shot. That cartridge was a 338-06 A-Square loaded with 200 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet. Complete penetration at 125 yards and all I saw was white belly after the shot never moved from the spot. My daughter ...

Re: luopold vx1 shotgun scope on my axiom?
The Leupold VX-1 2-7x33mm shotgun scope are perfect for crossbows. Stellar low light gathering characteristics and tough as nails. Excalibur and Leupold makes a great combo. I use a Leupold VX-I 2-7x33mm and also set my center crosshair zero at 25 yards. 0-30 yards hold behind front shoulder deliver...

Re: Scope Aim Points
I use a Leupold rifle scope with a duplex reticle. I sight the crosshair at 25 yards and can just use the crosshair for any deer from 0-30 yards. (I'm shooting an old Phoenix w/400gr arrows) Since I usually confine my shots to a range of 15-25 yards this system allows me to use the K.I.S.S. philoso...
