Mike, it is always good to share some old pictures, and stories. I might have to dig out my old Browning Bush Master crossbow, takes me back into the 80's!

I have heard nothing but good things about the 330, and like all Excalibur Crossbows, accuracy is in it's DNA! I have been fortunate to own three, and have shot about 6, every one was a tack driver.

This was the Ibex, and Vortex before selling off the Ibex!

NAP 100 grain Thunder Heads, Cabelas 100 grain Copper Heads, Slick Trick Viper Tricks, all group nice. I think most any these days will fit the bill.

I have read about one issue. Luckily that person posted to protect others, then notified Excalibur. I would rather find out in this manner, than in a much worse way! They will take care of you, that's the upside!

I would suggest getting one to check out hands on. If you have a sport shop near by, that is what I would recommend. The 330 will do the job as the others have stated though. Good luck on your decision.

I tried to cock the Vortex by hand, and actually got it up to the latch, but seen that i was a mile to one side. I agree, for accuracy sake, use the rope cocker!

No twerking, I would need a hip replacement if i tried that crap! My wife got me one of them Samsung tablets, I am trying to figure it out, but keep getting on here instead of learning anything.

I did hear some rumblings along them lines! Hope he goes 355, or 330! I think he will truly enjoy the one he picks though.

JP, congrats on the 405. i know nobody had as much anticipation as you did for the arrival of the beast! You might want to throw a little money in a target company! Hope you enjoy the bow. Hope you get a nice bird, and buck this year.
