Re: Matrix 355 vs Vortex chrono results

I can get advertised speed all day long with stock string and Diablo arrows on my Matrix 355. That is with two different chrono's even. And I've been testing and shooting the Matrix Bows till I'm blue in the face. Hmmmm..... Big John I'm sure crossbow limbs are just like horizontal bow limbs. Not a...

Matrix 355 vs Vortex chrono results

I was curious how much faster the 355 actually was over the Vortex. The Vortex had an Excalibur Flemish string and STS. The 355 had the stock Matrix string and REDS. Both strings were set about a string width from the rubber bumpers. Gold Tip Laser II 410 grain bolt 317.2 fps Gold Tip Laser II 410 g...

Re: Need help with fletching

The E-Z Fletch gets good reviews. I've used a Bitzenburger for years with great results.

I do this several times a week, never been stung.

Re: 355 or 380

I have not shot one but these bows are really loud with the 355 being less. Your thoughts please? Wyvern has these at a pretty good price. The 355 is pretty loud but the bumpers do quiet it down quite a bit. I would however look into the bumpers Dan Miller sells as opposed to the Reds system, The r...

Re: What arrow is everyone shooting from there 380

Just curious but does the 380 need a stronger/stiffer shaft than the other Excaliburs? Would my old Goldtip II's work with the Matrix?

Re: Hunter saves own life after Rattlesnake bit

I'd also read years ago that the suction kits were pretty much a joke. I remember my dad had one probably 35 to 40 years ago, but I haven't seen one for sale in years.

Re: Firebolts Vs GT laser II

The Laser II's are a little lighter so I was able to use a brass insert vs the aluminum I had with the Firebolt for better FOC and not a lot more total weight. I'm sure mainly due to the improved FOC I get better accuracy with my Laser II setup.

Re: Varizone speed ring?

For sure don't pay any attention to the speeds written on the ring. Just adjust it till you're zeroed correctly. When I had a Verizone, my setting on the ring also ran a good bit higher than what my chrono read.
