Re: New string came untwisted
First off I want to thank everyone for their help. Boo,I read your web page on strings.. Vixenmaster I'm not sure what a Flemish String is(looks like). All I know is when I bought the Excalibur Axiom bow at (Cabelas) I bought a bow string in a bubble pack that was made by Excalibur. The packaging di...

Re: New string came untwisted
When I twist the string counter clockwise, does it matter which end of the string I twist since both ends before the serving are completely untwisted...example:holding the string in front of me left hand holding 1 end of the loop, right hand holding the other loop should I twist left end of loop count...

In Don's death and being an organ donor, others will live to carry on what Don did not finish. A reminder to all who consider being an organ donor. Your life will never end as long as some one has a part of you. Prayers to his wife and his family and to those who know him...GODS' SPEED DON...

Re: Aluminum Arrows
I shoot an Easton 2219 aluminum arrow, but I'm shooting a 20" arrow with a 150grn BoltCutter. I very seldom shoot deer more than 20 yards. Complete pass through every time. Shot a deer with a 20" DCA(Deer Crossing Arrow)carbon with a 150grn BoltCutter at approx 17 yards and hit the deer sli...

New string came untwisted
I bought a new string some time ago for my Axiom. When I got ready to change the old string,I discovered the new string was totally untwisted in the package(nothing but numerous strands from both loop ends to serving). Should I use the old string as a close measurement and twist 1 end of the new str...

Re: Review: Case Knives Russlock and Cheetah
I used to have a Case knife growing up as a kid. The only problem with knives back then, they weren't lock back blades. I don't know how many times I cut my fingers when the knife closed up while cleaning and skinning game. Still enjoyed carrying one though.

Re: Hunting naked?
I use 1 to mark distances that I will be shooting. Where I hunt(private property),I never shoot further than 20 yards max. I place a pumpkin at the 20 yard mark a pour some vanilla extract on it and sit and wait. The deer pretty much cross this location everyday(evening) at almost the same time,give...

Re: Considering switching to fixed blade from mechanical
I use the Excalibur 150grn Boltcutter fixed blade. Always had complete pass throughs as long as I was using an aluminum arrow. The last deer I shot,I used a carbon arrow(Deer Crossing Arrow) with the Boltcutter. Shot the deer broadside at approx. 18 yards from a ground blind. Hit the deer a little h...

Another Excellent Customer Service Story
Was out hunting last Sunday evening and noticed my scope developed the"hairy fish eye". Was unable to finish my hunt. Contacted Excalibur via website Monday morning. Filled out the form and was sent an RMA number immediately, went down to an UPS office and sent my scope to Excalibur in Port...

Re: Quick fletch
I used the Quick Fletch on 6 arrows(2219 aluminum). Measured exactly the distance from the nock where to slide the fletch to. Had no problems dipping them in boiling water. Looked like they were store bought. Shot them the next day and not a single arrow would hit the bullseye at 20 yards. In fact n...

Re: Check your local Walmart
The Walmart by me quit selling guns/ammunition and archery equipment back during the Sandy Hook school shooting. All they sell is fishing/camping and a few scopes and gun cleaning kits believe it or not. They still sell fishing/hunting licenses though.

Re: Spitfire Performance
I personally prefer shooting an aluminum arrow with a 150grn Boltcutter. Never had any problems with complete pass through. 2 years ago I tried shooting a carbon arrow made by Deer Crossing Archery. Shot a doe from a ground blind broadside at approx. 18yards. Shot about 2" higher than a normal ...

Re: Which Luemocks
I just purchased the Burt Coyote Excalibur Fire Bolts with the nocks already installed. 3 for just under $60 on ebay. My only complaint is,you have to keep checking the nock to make sure they are turned off. Everytime I turn them off,I would check them several hours later and find out 1 of them was ...

Re: Lectured about energy .....
Should have asked him at what distance he would feel safe if you were to use him for a target...lol! Of course he wouldn't think that would be funny but,you would have proven your point in regards to whether your bow would have sufficient energy to kill a deer. Just curious,is he a hunter? What type...
