Re: Octane dead zone?
It's not a good scope. Leupold or Hawke optics is a better choice.

Re: Worst than a woman
Go with your gut feeling, seems like that would be the Matrix 355, which in my opinion is the best crossbow on the market now.

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
The AirBow will Not wipe out any archery equipment being used today, just like the crossbow didn't wipe out the compound bow. There is something gratifying about harvesting an animal with a compound bow, I know many people that love the challenge of compound bow hunting. I personally like having the...

Re: New guy here needing some wisdom..
Welcome to the forum, I own both Excalibur and Ten point crossbows. Both great bows. I would personally recommend you start with the matrix 355. If money is an issue, you should consider getting an older model Exocet or Exomax. Those are the bows that gave Excalibur the name they have today.

Same here, I spray a bit of silicone spray on a cloth and clean the rail, then wipe down the rail with a dry cloth to finish

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
I would buy it in a heart beat. I'm a hunter. I want a weapon that gives me the best chance to harvest an animal ethically. I hope they allow it to be used for bow seasons here in Ontario

Re: Shimming a scope
Shimming the bottom of the scope ring is the incorrect way to shim a scope. The base of the scope mount, either front or back should be shimmed, and higher you shim the base, the greater chance you will have of damaging your scope. SINCLAIR INTERNATIONAL is a great company that sells all kinds of re...

Re: Shimming a scope
Sinclair international sells shim kits, they come drilled so you can shim the base of the scope mount and not the ring itself. You can order it online

Waxing Yes or No, (not your bikini line)
Excalibur recommends waxing your serving every 40-50 shots, other crossbow company's ( ten point ) advise not to wax the serving. My question is what benefit does waxing the string serving provide? Does the wax get stuck on the claws of the trigger mechanism? What do the fine string makers on this f...

Re: Serving Wax and Accuracy
I contacted Excalibur and asked If waxing the serving is recommended, they replied " the serving should be waxed about every 40 to 50 shots" . I Personally do NOT wax the serving, and the one time that I met Bill Troubridge in 2006 he told me not to wax the serving either. So I'm not sure ...

Re: Serving Wax and Accuracy
I had this issue last year with my M355, then I noticed 2 screws that mount the scope rail were loose, I simply removed them, added loctite and problem solved. I doubt it was your serving that was the issue. Did you recently oil the trigger mechanism? I ask because today was cold up in mount Albert,...
