Re: Xbow poundage/pull

I have had several back surgeries and I have nerve damage in my lower spine and left leg. I have been happy with your first bow .. the Grizzly. I just use the rope cocker .. no need for a crank. JMO

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?

I have 18" Diablo arrows with Lumenoks, helical blazer vanes and 150 gr tips. They weigh in at 418 grains. I'm in between but I guess 425.

Boltcutter Review .. your opinion

Prior to purchasing my Boltcutter BH's I had read many reviews here and elsewhere. This one in particular just stuck with me and I felt compelled to comment. What's your opinion of this review ? https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R39VAG851N3AKF/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B001344...

Re: Grizzly Done

Try not to let the string break.  LOL ! Seriously though just put the stringer on and tighten it as much as you can... Then pull back and put a new string on. I was under the impression that once the string was off (as if it broke) the limbs would spread greatly. Placing the stringer on ...

Re: Broadhead target

I was in the same boat as you. I used the search function on here as well as reading reviews online. I bought the Delta McKenzie Crossbow Speed Bag Archery Target for field tips. So far it has been great. It's heavy but has stopped everything and never got near the fletchings. As for broadheads I na...

ThackMan you weren't kidding they do look alike.

Nobody seems to have answered my question. Either it's too stupid or nobody thought about it before.

Re: Grizzly Done

Looks real nice! Thank you. :) I have a stupid question. I've been out of the game for about 15 years due to an injury. I used to shoot and maintain my old Matthews Q2. I've practiced, at home, using the rope cocker and no problems at all. I've also practiced using the stringing aid and again no pr...

Re: ANY REMARKS ON TOMBSTONE MATRIX CASE

I was going to get the Tombstone for my Grizzly. I was told that it was being discontinued and replaced with the new Ex Shield case. I was told it is the same dimensions, has the same padding, more pockets and priced cheaper. In my opinion the Tombstone looked nicer but I went with the Ex Shield and...

Re: Grizzly Done

When you get her done you'll have to post some pictures.

Before I did any upgrades I did a lot of research .. mostly on here. I figured do it right the first time. All I wanted was a light weight, functional, relatively quiet, good looking and good shooting crossbow. I think I achieved that. :D

Re: How Many Bolts

When I had my Q2 I only carried 3 arrows and I believed that was enough.
Now with the Grizzly I'll do the same .. 3. :)

I guess I'm shooting for 280 fps then ! :)

I think my rifle/pistol club might have a chrono I could use. I'll check into it and try to get it done next week.

ThackMan how about a picture of yours ?

Re: Grizzly Done

Thanks for the compliments guys. :D
Now I have to get out and shoot it some more .. oh the burden !

I also want to chrono it as well. I'm figuring somewhere around 290 fps. I have the 418 grain Diablo's, 1 1/2 inch brace height and stock string.

Grizzly Done

My Grizzly is finally done. So far I added the BowJax to the string. I added shrink tubing and a BowJax to the arrow retainer. I wrapped the stirrup in rubber tape. I mounted the REDS. I added a camo cover on the scope. I refletched the Diablo arrows with Blazers using the Arizona Bolt. I added the ...
