Re: Axiom Modification
Is this because of the synthetic main frame? If You had an aluminum mainframe on the axiom it would be a simple mill and drill operation. I've machined a exo mainframe and put a matrix riser and limbs on it.I also shortened the stock about an inch and a half. it's overall length is about three quar...

Re: Axiom Modification
Yes, The two bolts that hold the riser On would no longer have the molded through holes, the rest of the rail doesn't have enough material for you to put a bolt through. Jefro

Re: vane setback
I have SK300s with the vane set back at 1 1/8 inch. works fine my ibex, but on my matrix with the guardian ADF the vane contacts the scope mount. I have to load arrows carefully or one of the vanes gets curled under the ADF. Not really a big deal. next time I order arrows I'll have the vane set back...

Re: Danny Miller bumpers
Seat them all the way into the riser, maintain the gap(1/8 - 3/16)by twisting your string.

Re: Compound Crossbows
It's a statistical certainty that Murphy's Law will come knocking on the door of the crossbow owner with more moving parts (cams, cables, slides). With that being said I have hunted with a compound crossbow for over 20 years and never had to leave the woods because of a malfunction due to the cams or...

Re: X-Bow noise, I saw the light
A 32 strand Flemish string (d97)will help quiet/soften the shot. A heavy arrow will help also. Do you have shrink tubeing on the arrow retainer? Jefro

Re: plastic dipped stirrup anyone?
I slipped an O ring over the bolt between the riser and stirrup and then wrap the stirrup with Sims comfort tech grip wrap ( $9.99 eBay ) i've also seen a fellow use flex spray, The one advertised on TV. Jefro

Re: Exocet 200
I'm one of the Jim Bobs that put a matrix front end on a Exo series mainframe. Like previously mentioned you would have to shorten the rail. It is not worth the expense and again as mentioned your better off just getting a matrix bow to complement your vortex. I had a extra mainframe from a max poin...

Re: Rut Timing in Ohio
I have hunted Ohio's rut every year for the past 26 years. I try to hunt hard from Halloween to 15 November. With that being said, if i only have a week or a long weekend I would take it between November 3 and 13. Depending on the weather of course. Jefro

Re: Time to get back after it!
What is "the longest Xbow inclusive season"? I may have miss spoke when I said Ohio "legalized"crossbows in 1978 ,prior to 1976 Ohio's archery season did exclude crossbows, from what I understand from some of the old-timers is the law was somewhat ambiguous and many just assumed...

Re: Time to get back after it!
I think wildcatters correct, Ohio legalized crossbows in 1978. Currently you can hunt every day from the last Saturday of September to the first Sunday in February with a crossbow in the Buckeye State. Jefrohio

Re: Of Splintering limbs and grave disappointment
I shoot an old Phoenix and am on my 3rd set of limbs, so I know limbs can and will splinter & break. My biggest complaint is the the limbs I have now are nowhere close to matching the camo of the stock. Recently Vixenmaster posted a thread about Excalibur's warranty only being 5 years for the o...

Re: Aimpoint Type of Scope ??
I also use the TRS 25 from Bushnell on my Cub. @ only 4oz its less than half the weight of most scopes with rings. It has a 3moa dot and 11 brightness settings. One of the advantages of a red dot that isn't brought up very much is it's non-critical eye relief. Deer don't always give you the perfect ...
