Re: Excalibur compound
I've got a couple of them, great crossbows. I picked one up from CL back in august dirt cheap. I Machined the mainframe back so I could fit a matrix Cub front end on it (matrimax) Shoots like a matrix 350. With the front end of my ibex on it I can cock it by hand and shoot it all day long, shoots li...

Make sure the washer is facing the right way, the rounded edge should be facing forward towards the tip. Hope this helps. Jefro

Bands for spitfires??
For the members who use dental bands on the spitfires what size are you using? I need to order some more, the ones I have are dry rotted. it looks as though they have a 3/16 ID. Thanks. Jefro

Re: New X-Bow Set Up Help Requested
If you Go with the quills you're going to need some 150 grain broadheads in order to get your best accuracy. I would spend a little extra money and get spine indexed Bees or zombie slayer's with the 110 gr. brass insert. That way you don't have to buy extra broadheads, you can use the ones you alrea...

Re: New X-Bow Set Up Help Requested
You can shorten your arrows, just make sure your insert is square, or your Broadheads may wobble and not fly true. My 17 1/2 inch bee with the slick trick on the end sits just behind the foot sturip (18 1/2 overall) The kwiki kwiver air with Dan millers post over bow mount is about as light as you c...

Re: New X-Bow Set Up Help Requested
I went the same route, I got the cub only. I added the quickie quiver 3, A half dozen black eagle executioners from Jerry at South Shore cut @ 17 1/2 inches so my Brodheads will not stick out past the foot sturip. I then called Danny Miller got his bumpers and his Black and silver Flemish string. I ...

Re: HHA and VX-1
The 3X9 will be a little long on a micro, any Leupold will stand up to the recoil of a crossbow. I have a 2x7 Vx 1 on mine and it works great. In fact I suspect the whole" reverse recoil will ruin a rifle scope" was just a marketing ploy. I find it hard to believe that the same scope that ...

Re: Quality Control
Someone from the factory addressed this issue before. I believe they said that the time spent in the Tumblr-viberator was extended. Maybe they need to use a smaller-finer abrasive /media. The Trigger claw is a casting I believe. And when they come out of the mold they have small imperfections, bumps...

Re: Axiom Rail
The only benefit to having an aluminum rail is it looks Purdy and a better resale value. It will harvest game just as well as an aluminum rail. I have both, and the plastic rail seems a bit lighter a bit quieter in my opinion. My SMF Ibex with the s5, 30 strand Flemish and 435gr arrow is the quietes...

Re: Broadhead Suggestions
Stick with 150 grain broadheads with the Diablos. Bolt cutters, slick tricks, and Cabela's stk-3 all come in 150 grain.
If you decide to go with different arrows make sure they have a a 92 gr. Brass insert. You'll then have a wide selection of broadheads to choose from. Jefro
