I'm a classic shooter/hunter with the crossbow. For obvious reason I'm a shooter 99% of the time that I use my crossbow. And obviously, because I have the possibility of a field where is possible shoot up to 100 meters, I like to shoot/train during the year on this range to increase my skill on hunt...

huntin1, on your calculation you must to use these coefficents: Diameter: 0,344" ; Arrow weight: 380 grains Arrow speed: 310 fps Coefficient K: 0,00233068 ; Coefficient aerodinamic: 1008,156 ; Dist.----- DROP----- SPEED (m)----- (Inch) ----- (Fps) 0--------- 0,2------ 310 10------- 58,1----- 30...

Gentlemen, we are speaking without consider well that to shoot with a crossbow beyond 150 meters it creates two principal difficults: 1. the optic angle: on this pic you can notice a hypothetical inclination for 200 yards: I done this image with photoshop: you must make a scope mount with a impressi...

I agree complitely with bstout, a great target shooter could be a very bad hunter because hunting is not only "a shoot", you have many and many other things to do better the shoot is only a part. However on my life, I can't hunt every week, and I use 99% my crossbow in pratice. But, for my...

Long shooting distance for target pratice only is very funny and interesting, it allows to increase a lot your shooting skill on shorter distances, but what is the limit of the distance? On my opinion the limit is when the error caused by wind, is so big, that it is bigger of your larger shooting er...

I have it too. I use it in hunting, it is precise up 80 yards. Some problem with the optic, not a good focus. But at the end this rangefinder does its work and it is cheap.

Yes also on mine it don't change, it is set at 100 meters. But if you aim for a target at 20 yards , for example, and your scope magnification is set, for example at 12X, you can't see in focus this target. But if you change the magnification from 12x to 3x, now you can see perfectly in focus both (...

Yes I agree.
However many optics with a variable number of magnifications, setting at the lower value 3x for example as mine, you can see perfectly the target and the crosshair. The problem is if you use a fixed magnification scope as a 6x for example.

bstout, in reality if yur scope has a parallax error zero@100m, the error on shorter distances is not noticeable because decreasing the distance the error increase, but on the same time also the distance decrease, so the error angle is lower. On my opinion the avantages of a expansive optic, used wi...
