That looks very much like my Vixen, which I bought in the late 1980s - 87-89, or thereabouts.

Re: woooooohooooo!!!!!!!way to go Canada
Harper promised on the campaign trail that if he got a majority the long gun registry would be eliminated within 60 days.
As of now, 59 and counting.

I got one too. I came on here to check if anybody else had got one before I opened it.

Re: carrots and/or corn as bait
I'm not far from you bullfood. I've tried carrots without success. Late in the rifle season we mixed some corn with carrots and both are now gone, but I'm not sure it was deer or bears that ate the carrots. Corn works, but be prepared to use lots of it. The raccoons, blue jays and bears love it too....

Re: coyote licence
The coyote/wolf tag was instituted to protect the so-called red wolf of Algonquin Park. It has been proven by DNA testing that the wolves in and around the park are the same as the rest of the wolves (eastern gray wolves) in eastern North America. The MNR's own wolf specialists readily admits there ...

Re: Broadhead removal
If you have something about the same diameter and long enough, maybe a piece of brake line, you could probe in the target and push the broadhead on through.
As for the dog whistle on the lanyard, that could happen with a grunt call too!

That's true Don. Big government seems to be less concerned about wildlife than in the past and we can't control the weather.

You truly are blessed, Pyd. Somehow, I get the impression you are the type of man who deserves a lady like you have.

Re: Taking does
Good question Don. The buck to doe ratio was way out of whack in our area for a long time and the bucks were taking a pounding. I sit on the local MNR Fish and Wildlife Advisory Council and lobbied for more antlerless tags. I found a biologist's study from one of the northern states that said the id...

Sympatico long gun registry poll
There's a long gun registry poll on the Sympatico.ca website, about half way down the page on the right. Right now, 61 per cent say it's a waste, 26 per cent say it's beneficial, 8 per cent think it's beneficial in certain circumstances and 5 per cent don't care. If you care, go to http://www.sympat...

There's nothing like a good amount of ordnance downrange to deter trespassers of the green thumb variety.

Re: First deer pic on my property!
Things are looking up on the deer front Don. But be wary of those pot growers, they can be very nasty.
