Re: Forum members .. misc favors , services and products ...

Good advice R.J. The people on this forum are like family members. As such, we may not see eye-to-eye with everyone all the time. That's human nature. But there's no need to be uncivil. I don't visit many different forums, but of the ones I do, this is by far the best, with people I'd welcome into m...

Re: coyote hunting

The more the merrier, PP. I'm in WMU 60 (Wildlife Management Unit for our southern friends) where there are no restrictions on coyote hunting, but my hunt camp is in WMU 56. Deer numbers were noticeably down and we heard coyote packs almost every day during the rifle season. You shouldn't have much ...

Re: coyote hunting

Problem is, in your neck of the woods pink panther, you can only take two wolves or coyotes (at $9 apiece for tags, plus your small game license, of course). Gotta protect those "special" wolves in Algonquin Park, dontcha know! Even though the MNR's own biologist has confirmed th...

I haven't noticed the large avatars, so I assume the combination of Firefox and the new system resizes them on my screen.
If mine is one of the offending avatars, somebody let me know and I'll change it.

Re: Having a hard time with the forum

The only complaint I have is when you scroll down past the "Excalibur Crossbows" and "Support" menus you have three inches of black space on the left. If those menus were at the top of the page, I'd have the whole screen to view photos and text without having to scroll sideways. ...

A buddy has one and it works well for him. He's had it for a year or more.

Re: STRING JUMPING DEER

If you are worried about string jump, follow the advice of bow hunting great Chuck Adams, who said he always aims for the heart and if a deer jumps the string he'll usually hit it in the lungs.
That sounds like good advice to me.

"No, file would upload to excalipurs server. Would in the end have nothing to do with your computer. Otherwise if you shut your computer off the image would shutdown to and that would not be good. Excalipur is being nice to us and giving us server space so keep your images to a reasonable size...

Re: Picture Attachment Test

Ok, a question for you computer gurus.
If you attach a photo from your hard drive would it give potential hackers a portal to your computer?
Just a thought.

If I was buying a new dedicated deer rifle and was sensitive to recoil, I'd consider a .260 Remington or 6.5X55. Lots of steam for deer sized game and could double as a coyote rifle or even woodchucks. My .270 is a Browning BAR and I could shoot it until the barrel melted down with no adverse affect...

That one was a pow/flop for sure. The hog never felt a thing!
Nobody can say that wasn't a humane kill.
Good shooting.

I have no problems with the photos 8up. I happen to think that if more families, kids included, were exposed to the real world, they would know there's more involved to providing the meat they get at the store than what comes on a styrofoam tray wrapped in cellophane. Congrats to the Mrs. on a fine ...

Thanks R.J.
I needed a hunting fix. I haven't had a chance to get out since the rifle season here - nobody to hunt with.
Your photos and story help ease the pain.
