Re: micro paronoia
The sky might not be falling but something is not right. Clearly the Micro is a good design capable of high shot cycle counts without failing as proven by those of you that have done it . But there has never been a time that I can remember so many Excalibur owners reporting not one but multiple, une...

Re: micro paronoia
Well I just shoot an Exocet 200, that I love, so I have no pony in this race, but I am curious. If it is 2% of Micro's sold, but with many of them have gone through 2 to 3 sets of limbs, the actual number of failed limbs would be higher than the stated 2%, no?

Re: micro paronoia
...There is "under" 2% of Micro's having Issues.. Something I think is being overlooked with this statistic is the cause of failure. It seems that most of the old failures were from misuse, such as a dry fire, or field damage. On the Micro's it appears to be an out-of-the-box failure not ...

Re: Quality Issues Waiting to Happen...
All the bows leave Excalibur strung . All strings stretch ... I don't know if excalibur management ever reads these forums but if so I have a suggestion that might help. Brace height is far too important to leave to the instruction manual. So to bring it to everyone's attention without a big fuss o...

Re: Fletching
Feathers are great for fair weather hunters, (and target shooters) otherwise, not so much.
As bow hunters we have already chosen to travel a more difficult path. As individuals within that group we will again choose components based on what we feel strongly about. There w...

Re: Fletching
I love a feathered shaft. I do not see it as extra work any more then my choice to use archery itself.

Changing riser angle
I have an Exocet 200 that I was looking at, contemplating removing the dissipator bars to clean up the looks on the front. I know some guys have done this and was wondering how much of an increase in vibration is felt. Also, I believe the older Exocets with the flat risers went from 175 lbs to 200 l...

Re: 2117 vs 2216
Thanks Wes. I think those should be worth a try. I like my GT2s just fine for whitetails, good speed with plenty of energy. This fall I will use my Exocet for Elk and will be more comfortable with a heavier arrow.

Re: aluminum/component/weight
Great info guys, just the type of info I am looking for. I will add that this is for an Exocet 200 that is going to be tackling Elk this next year.
Keep it coming.

aluminum/component/weight
After reading the recent threads on carbon/aluminum arrows I thought I might give aluminums a try. I could use some suggestions on what has worked well for others. Specifically, brand components including broadheads and weights.
Thanks.
Dave
Thanks.

Re: Am/Should I be mad???
Personally it doesn't bother me one little bit that Groundpounder voiced his feelings on this subject. I have no fears that this will become a common occurence, just something that needed to be said. I think this is a good place to do it. I have no words of wisdom. Hopefully, you can be consoled wit...

Crossbow sling
On another thread Ischa (Laura) posted that she carries her crossbow upside down. I like the thoughts of this but am having trouble determining the proper sling placement to achieve a comfortable carry. Could any of you, including Laura, who use this method post pictures or describe the placement of...

I purchased one of these a few years ago and consider it one of the best investments I ever made. It doesn't fit all your criteria, the leg zippers only come slightly above the knee and when walking the reinforcement patches can make some noise. But it is quiet enough for stand hunting and the only ...
