Re: Arizona EZ fletch
Thanks guys! I'm shooting the 405 so a "slows it down a bit" is a little welcome atm. Right now I get complete pass through on my block target at 40 yards and a good 6" penetration into the 3/4" ply behind it. Like to have lost a BH into a 4/4 post  ... By comparison my wif...

Xcalibur: my bolts came out looking like the ones in the middle. paulaboutform: Good to know! I had read on another thread about the soaking so I was prep'd for that. "Where's my nail remover?"  my wife was not happy... But when she saw what I used it for was happy again :mrgr...

Arizona EZ fletch
So, I read a post or two about people using this to make their arra's with this. I happened to have had the foresight and purchased the crossbow version and some blaze 2" flights. When I used it I noticed a hell of a twist on the new flights compared to the stock flights on the Diablo's that ca...

Re: Shout Out to Bass Pro - Charlotte
I was at a Bass Pro in Dallas. Same exact thing (though I thought nothing of a store doing the right thing at the time as I was headed to the lease and had deer brain). They had a very wide selection of Excalibur's on hand. My wife handled a few and she ended up settling, for the moment, on a Mathew...

Proud of you as a father, passing on your knowledge. Proud of your son as a budding hunter he's got the skills and the interest. Should be years of enjoyment for you both. Making memories that will mean so much to you both in the years to come. Enjoy!

Re: Updated: Titanium Fastener Kits Now Available
I'm looking at them now and want to order a set for my matrix without airbrakes but the two kits say w/o airbrakes. I'm assuming I order the kit with the kit with 1" limb strap bolt and not the 1.5" bolt. am I right? I just ordered mine. There was a problem on the website that I brought t...

Re: I should explain a few things about Boo custom strings
Since one of my emails was probably lost as well, and my humble request for a famous BooString I was beginning to wonder. All good man! I still look forward to getting a string for the 405 when you get a round to-it. Suggestion: Come to Texas, Drink some Bourbon, Rest back in a blind and do some hun...

Re: New 405 problems
I called Woodys today and have a stringer and wax on the way. Would of been nice if a stringer would of come with the bow from the factory. . Whoever sold you ANY recurve crossbow without a stringing aid needs to give his head a shake. We have been screaming it for a while here on the forum, it nee...

Re: New 405 problems
I happened to have done a lot of research prior to buying my 405. So I ordered a stringer from excalibur as well. My bow came with 0 brace height as well. Don't know how long they've sat on the shelves and since they come already strung they likely stretched since manufacture. Added some twists and ...

405 and targets
So I got a Black Box target and i'm blasting through it even at 40 yards. Buried to the nock. At 20 yards through the block and 3/4" plywood by 2" and now I need to put new vanes on two bolts What's a better alternative?
