Re: Last day buck

Nice buck. I shot one very similar to that earlier this year. I rarely see bucks larger than that where I hunt.

Re: Excalibur Kid pulled it off

I believe the idea was to remove that particular button buck because of his unusual characteristics. I wonder how your statistics match up to the harvest numbers in South Carolina. I am not sure our statistics are watched that closely. They are trying to encourage hunters here to let younger bucks w...

Re: Seeking opinions

I have 2 savage rifles, a 30-06 for me and a .243 youth version for my kids. I hunt in an area with a max shot of 120 yards and I am sure they can out shoot my failing eyes. I agree with Dan, the big bonus is I don't have to feel bad about putting wear on them. I was hunting with a Remington 200th a...

Re: Loading pictures

I don't know about other hunting forums, but all my other forums host all the pictures. I don't post pictures here because I don't want to mess with a third party hosting service. And when the 3rd party hosting service decides to charge, like photo bucket did, all the links get broken and the thread...

I'm 50. My body feels much older from years of hard use. My mind still feels 20. Too bad they don't match!

I agree Steve, that's a great buck. I too have questions on the weapon!

Re: Buck'd Out. What now?

That's a nice animal and you already have 2 8's, so that's pretty darn good overall. If I have enough meat in the freezer, I sort of get unmotivated. Now if my kids are going, that's a different story. But just me, I'll stay in bed where it's warm.

My son and I both use Millennium chairs in our ladder stands. We have insulated pads that we sit on that add some warm and padding. I love them! They are comfortable and silent. I have modified mine slightly to recline a little more, which I prefer

Re: Buck down! They're moving.

I have used the LTO for 2 years. $699 then. Mixed feelings as I have some IR binos for $250 that do better for what I want - to see in the dark. But the LTO will help more in not getting busted getting into or out of your stand/whatever. The LTO 2 on sale for $399 is a no brainer as it has almost d...
