Re: Assassin problem

So over 2 hours ago Peter was to call the warranty center then they would call me to set up when I could take the bow to them for fixing. Looks like I'll have to fix it myself...somehow.

Re: Assassin problem

Got your emails and replied. Can you send me a pic of how far back the sled will go when you are cranking it? I am in a swamp area, I will host the pics shortly Thank you for answering in the email. I could easily do that but it is just as easy to imagine what it looks like. It is back as far as it...

Re: Assassin problem

Once you get it latched into the trigger NOT the ADF, fire the bow with an arrow in it and then dry to reset the trigger to the string. Therein lies the problem. How do I reset the trigger without moving the sled all the way forward. I can crank it back to the very back but that won't help me at al...

Re: Assassin problem

Once again please allow me to restate the problem: I did try to uncock the bow and perhaps I have been doing this wrong but it has worked in the past. I pulled the trigger and then pressed the lever to uncock. When I did this all was well until the sled got about half way down and I can not get it t...

Re: Assassin problem

When you say string behind the trigger do you mean behind the latch teeth that that hold the string back in the fire position. Is your safety on turn if off and pull the trigger and then reset if I am pictureing this correctly. Sorry but it appears I have not explained the problem enough. I could p...

Re: Assassin problem

Sounds like your trigger is not open. I’m not sure how the Assassin latches work but you can see the latches on the traditional models and a trigger pull would open them up. I’m thinking you have something along that line happening . The trigger is open. How do I get it closed again? Also, I still ...

Re: Assassin problem

I could perhaps do that but would first have to get the sled all the way down in order to set the trigger. Perhaps I'm wrong but if so, please let me know and I'll try that. I assumed since you said you were uncocking it when it locked up. that the string was still attached to the traveling trigger...

Re: Assassin problem

Excalibur has said absolutely nothing. I've called a couple times. I've filled out the form on the Internet. I've talked to Danny Miller but Excalibur won't even answer the phone nor return a call when I left them a number to call.

Signed: Frustrated.

Re: Assassin problem

Indeed it is a busy time of the year and also they sell things that are needed for hunting. That is why we buy them and I've been bragging up Excalibur for many, many years. Now I've seriously beginning to doubt. It started with a neighbor also having a warranty problem that Excalibur didn't seem to...

Assassin problem

I am wondering if anyone has had this problem with their Assassin. A couple nights ago when I quit hunting I, as usual un-cocked my bow. However, for some odd reason, it would not work properly. It went about half way down then locked. I could crank it back up some but it is making a strange noise w...
