Raymond,
Glad to have you back my friend! I guess I need to read the new threads a little closer before I post on the old ones!! I didn't see you had posted this one. You keep getting stronger and I look forward to some more info exchange in the future!!

Re: Fellow crossbower ailing!
Just heard from Raymond this morning. Apparently he ended up back in the hospital again. It sounded like he had a pretty rough go of it, but is hanging there. He's a fighter!!! Hopefully he'll be up and at 'em soon!

Rumor or Fact
I just came across some rumblings on another forum that says Excal has sold the majority interest of the company to a US investment group. Anyone know if there is any truth to that?

Re: Fellow crossbower ailing!
I'm hoping he's doing OK. I haven't heard a peep from him since Tuesday night.

Fellow crossbower ailing!
Hey folks! Just spoke with "Raymond" via e-mail yesterday and found out he had been taken by ambulance to the hospital over the weekend. Apparently spent the weekend in ICU. Back home now, but is feeling pretty weak and tired. Sounded like chest pains and such. Anyway...just thought I'd le...

Re: Outhouse Blind??
I've have 2 Outhouse blinds and a Doghouse. You can make an Outhouse work for a CB, but its a bit of a squeeze. Its a better gun blind...IMHO. Hard to be very quiet in it when you're trying to get in position to shoot. I've been burned a few times trying to get set. Its like VixChix said....the litt...

Re: Serving separating
Yes...you're right. The angle would be sharper from the finger to the end of the bow limb on the Vortex than on the Ibex. Hmmm...hadn't thought of that.

Re: Serving separating
Well...I shot the Vortex a few times tonight and my "fix" seems to be holding for now. I'm waiting for my serving tool and serving material to get here, so if it does start to let loose again I can give a try at reserving it. Never have done it before, but have been watching Boo's video's ...

Re: Arrow Puller
I think that Dan's puller is worth its weight in gold!! I have both the rubber grip type and Dan's. I always end up using that one cuz it takes the grunt work out of pulling arrows. I even started shooting field points into my Rhinehart 18:1 target and have no trouble getting them out. Definitely wo...

Serving separating
I could use some advice. I've got maybe 50 shots on the Dacron string on my Vortex when I noticed that the serving was pushing apart or separating on the right side about where the right finger of the latch holds the string when its cocked. I unstrung the bow and pushed the serving back together. Th...

Re: What now?
Hey Ray,
I know that I'm one of the fairly "new folks" around here, but just wanted you to know that my prayers are with you. I can feel for you. With this economy the way its been the past couple of years it makes a person nervous all the time. You just hang in there!

Re: Adapted peep sight
Oh...OK! I misunderstood. I thought you were drilling that all out by hand. That would definitely take some patience! Nice job!

Re: Adapted peep sight
Wouldn't drilling with a small bit in a drill press be easier than to do it by hand? Unless you don't have access to one...than I understand. Nice idea!! Big improvement over the stock sight.
