Re: Hunt Area Help
If you might not see anything anyway, why not grill up some steak and have a shot of rye.

Re: Justifications Needed!
I have a lotta love for the Grizzly too, it shoots perfect at 60 yards for me and its a snap to cock and decock. I think its more than adequate and not under as much stress as the faster bows. I don't bother with the silencer or brake accessories either. Its an all round almost survivalist GP piece ...

That's why I drink coffee with my feet by the heater on rainy days. I find the most productive days to be the first sunny day after a front.Normous wrote:Staying dry during a hunt in the second half of your life will make the edges of your lips curl upwards during those days.

I'm not a business, the name came about as a joke and I figured why give anyone else free advertising.

Are these limbs expendable items? Are they expected to break and you replace them like a string? Am I missing something?

Now you smell like an environmentally friendly human.
I keep my duds in the back of my closed truck bed with blocks of record rack wildberry. I smell like a candied human.
Some folk smell like smoked human, k9 human, turpentine human, and so forth.

Re: Human Scents scares deer - old wives tale???
There was a recent Texas A&M study that concluded all urine is the same to deer. I think that study might be skewed by corn feeders. My nose ain't as good as a deer but I can tell if piss is from a deer, cat, bear, human, or k9. I do still pee in a container but have proof it don't matter. We all...

Re: Human Scents scares deer - old wives tale???
I can't speak for others but most places I hunt does remind me of one of them drive-thru animal Safari. Last season I had turkey at five yards looking at me like WTF while I was getting my cell camera out of my thigh cargo pocket. I took some pics and they walked off. It blew 40 years of thinking tu...

Re: Human Scents scares deer - old wives tale???
I think some of us are truely Blessed with very liberal seasons and bag limits for native deer species. I have from 1 October - February 10th. For Hogs, Axis, and other non-native exotics, its year round. Some of us are Blessed with large numbers of animals to play with too. Its arrogant to think on...

Re: Human Scents scares deer - old wives tale???
I think the amount of game you see depends on where you are and if you have dog smell on you. I typically see from five to 25 animals per day when I hunt so I too experiment like Graham. Sometimes this is more fun than hunting. I hunt in multiple states too. I've learned many things, even the best c...

I'm new at this but I figure I'd fair well with what Excaliber recommended and their ballistic chart. My accuracy exceeds anything I thought possible.

Re: Human Scents scares deer - old wives tale???
After a night of beer, oysters, and chilli, my bowels loosened on the way to the stand and I cut loose. After I got my gear and drawers back up and proceeded to walk in the dark, I discovered I was 15 yards from my treestand. "Crap!", no pun intended. I killed a big buck running scrapes in...

Re: adjusted hunting techniques to climate change?
I pull my shoes off, sit with my T-shirt, and decide not to shoot because I don't wanna deal with flys and spoilage.
Still a great day though.
