HHA Optimzer Speed Dial

I am thinking about adding a speed dial to my 380. I have read about all the positives it can provide and seen the You Tube videos; but what I want to know if there are any negatives to using this versus standard crossbow scopes. How many situations allow for you to dial the exact yardage? Do you ne...

Re: 2019 Excaliburs

I must say after looking at the new models I am considering a new one; but I know that in a few years there will be a new design- faster (maybe 500 ft/sec) and lighter. But I am still tempted.

Re: Swhacker 150 crossbow broadhead

I used the Afflictor 150 grain Swine mechanical last year. Had great results- 4 dead deer, went through both shoulders of a doe at 40 yards. One time used only though. They fly like field points, no premature opening and I just used the supplied band. I am using the 125 hybrid version this year with...

Re: Best target

I like my Ironman target. It stops my bolts from the 405 and only requires two fingers to pull the bolt out. I took it out to a friends house and we shot all morning with no problems. I also own the smaller version and take it to camp. The only bad thing about this target is that broadheads tear it ...

Re: Six weeks from Saturday

I can't wait either; it seems this summer I have been very busy. Hope to slow down when deer season starts. Still need to shoot my crossbow as I changed to 20 inch Zombies and lighted nocks.

Re: Stirring the pot...Broadhead opinion

I used Afflictor broadheads last year- 150grain swine. This year I am buying the 125 grain K2 hybrid 1 3/4 cut. They are mechanical but opened four for four last year. They opened up and left a good blood trail each shot but the blood trail did not start until 20 or so yards after the shot on each o...

Re: Millennium 110 ladder tree stand

I own two of them the 110 and the 100. I like the 110 better as the seat flips up and the platform is much bigger. It is an all day stand, I bought the chill pad and it helps but not as much as you think it would. Very sturdy, does not lean back when you climb to the top to attach it to the tree. Wh...

Re: Stand theft prevention

The only thing I can add is location, location, location. I try to hunt as far from the road as possible in the thickest stuff around. I had one guy tell me as he met me on the road where I walk in- he started to walk in but turned around because it is all up hill to get to the ridge and the Nationa...

Re: Very agrivating sometimes

Happened to me this week. Co-workers house burned and he lost everything. He ordered a new crossbow; I tried to tell him simple is better and more accurate. He found one on the Internet for $250.00 made by CenterPoint. Maybe when the string slaps him in the face he will listen. :eusa-violin:

Re: Trail Cams

I have around 12 cameras with bear boxes and use the python lock on each one (I wish they were all keyed the same). I started with all low end 3-4 mega-pixel cameras I picked up at Walmart on clearance for $25-30 a piece. Each year I went to Walmart in the summer when they put their cameras on clear...

For those of you that have this scope do you think it will be brighter than my Twilight DX on my M405? I was thinking of buying a Hawke XB30Pro before next season. Thanks in advance

Re: Salt licks

What are trophy rocks?? They are mined in the U.S, it is an all natural mineral supplement. One thing I need to research more is the difference between sodium and salt. I was told salt is a product of oil production. I noticed the Trophy Rock web site has a couple new products- one is for water the ...

Re: Salt licks

I like to use trophy rocks, if I can get a 20lb one that is best, if not the 12lb one will do. Also use their granules mixed with Purina Antler Max. I was making my own but found the antler max was same price if I made my own. I just put some trophy rocks out and all are gone but one. I have been ro...
