Re: nikon bolt vs hawk?
I know a little bit about the Bolt. 320 lines up pretty well for mine. This is pretty darn accurate on two of my crossbows. Hope that helps! Glass is great, and they handle the abuse of hunting very well! [URL=http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/xcaliber3/media/Bolt%20XR_zpsfd5ds1gm.jpg.html] ...

Game Cart Help
Looking for a quality game cart capable of getting a deer 2 miles out of the woods. The terrain is a combination of decent trails but the terrain can also be steep and rugged with many blow downs along the way prior to getting to a trail. There is no shortage of game carts online but they just don't...

Re: Getting Ready!
Xcaliber, The Savage 220 is a great slug rifle. I picked one up last year and it's a shooter. I tried different slugs and with mine the 2 3/4 Remington 260 grain AccuTip's shoot the best. 1 1/2 groups at 100 yards. I was concerned about dropping down to a 20 gauge as I have always used A 12 gauge in...

Re: Hot weather deer hunting help
I agree this is a great question. I have had the same concerns with how much time I have to get meat into a cooler with temps in the 70's. I hunt state land in CT and usually have a mile or two hike from the truck. By the time I recover a deer, gut the deer, drag it to the truck and drive it to a co...

Re: Hoisting a crossbow up to a treestand
It's appears that the majority of the people using this device are mounting it to the upper section of a climber. I am looking to mount one of these to a Lone Wolf Alpha hang on.
Can anyone offer any advice on the best way to do so? Pictures would be great.

Re: Hoisting a crossbow up to a treestand
The You-Tube video was very helpful. Looks like this product would work well for me so I just ordered a few from Third Hand to give them a try!

Re: Hoisting a crossbow up to a treestand
I am very interested in this third hand universal holder. Will this mount to the base of a Lone Wolf Alpha Hang On?
Any pictures from different angles would be helpful! From what I can see the crossbow is held by one limb?

The Bulldog RULES!
So I finally had a chance to do my first real shooting last weekend with the Bulldog and I have to say that it surpassed all my expectations. I still don’t think the trigger is great but other than that the performance was outstanding. I have been very busy at work and have not had a chance to build...

Bulldog 400 Brace Height
I have read several posts indicating the ideal brace height for a Bulldog 400 is 2.00 inches from the riser seam. This puts the string 1/2 inch off the bumpers?
Does this seem too far?

Re: Bulldog is BACK
ThunderXB,
Who did the warranty work for you?
Sew,
Are you measuring the 2.00 inches to the centerline of the string or the leading edge?

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results
I can probably do so but not for a few weeks. I chronographer three different bolt weights Sunday morning with both the Matrix 355 and Bulldog to compare results. 18 Inch Easton FMJ with aluminum front insert and 100 gr tip, 418 grains total Matrix 355 334 FPS Bulldog 400 364 FPS Delta 30 FPS 18 Inc...

Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results
I chronographed my Bulldog 400 today and was a little disappointed. My Matrix 355 shot a 402 grain Spynal Tapp at 339 FPS which is right where I would expect it to be. Out of the Bulldog the same bolt was at 366 FPS for a delta of 27 FPS. I was expecting the delta to be about 45 FPS so I feel I am a...
