Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

And at the end of the day, to “hunt” under the assumptions of the thread, means to kill.

To impose one’s killing theology on another is nothing short of Supremacism.

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

My Son’s, I come from a world where when you drop the worry about misses, you discover how much more you can hit.

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

If you have to post a dog pic to counter what you think my real opinion of dogs is, then you should have your head examined. Especially if you post a pic of a poor animal in front of a cage. If you have any emotional response from an internet post, you should do the same.

Too funny, take the shot !

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

I do get entertainment from some discussions like how is my use of a field point any different than a non expanding bullet? Especially shouldn’t have a “holy” opinion if you have never used a field point on a big hog. What I don’t participate in is Supremacism, which clearly some of you do. Live, Lo...

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

You guys thinking the thread went to hell because of a differing opinion shows a fragility on y’alls part. The love of a dog in no way compares to a granddaughter. The love one feels for a granddaughter is God’s way of preparing you for what is in Heaven. Having experienced both, Heaven is Granddaug...

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

Boo, you are asking me to give something I don’t have, mercy or caring for me is as foreign as a talking tree stump. I never factor ethics into the kill equation. I just do what I do with no thought other than kill. And its even more foreign concerning enemy combatants. When it comes to killing, I d...

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

Hey Boo, one of my favorite hunting spots is on an Army Base here sitting right near Henry Marion Smith’s grave overlooking a beautiful ravine, I talk with him a lot, his first wife is buried there too. He was with Capt Bird in the battle. I even trim the brush around his grave. The ravine looks lik...

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

No Boo, not a misprint, I’ve neither missed nor failed to recover so luckily eventhough I don’t care, it doesn’t matter. I still believe in the electric chair and not drug induced sleep too. Death doesn’t have to be pretty and I don’t pray to “mother nature” of little “g”gods after a kill. I accept ...

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

Like I said, I usually take the shot because I couldn’t care less if I miss or wound them. And I don’t even use the term energy with bows, spears, pistol calibers, or muzzle loaders, the term is irrelevant. “Hole” is the only relevant term. If you can hit at an extended range, take the shot. I back ...

Re: Max range would you say is far enough?

I sure won’t tell you a max yardage as I most always take the shot, I don’t lecture on ethics either because I couldn’t care less. What I have found is regardless of crossbow speed there is a typical distance where DEER react to sound and can move from the point of aim. THAT DISTANCE IS ABOUT THE SA...

Re: Help with String Stretch and Accuracy

I put a new factory string on my matrix grizzly earlier this spring/summer and complained (other threads) that it seemed short and wasn’t stretching to my preferred brace height. Its Sept 7th and it has barely moved 1/8”. So, a new string doesn’t always stretch and it makes me wonder about the consi...
