Re: Excalibur Customer Service - WOW!

When I made up my mind to buy an Excalibur Cross bow after doing all the research on other bows,CUSTOMER SERVICE,along with the QUALITY PRODUCT,made my decision easy to make.Every time someone asks what crossbow they should buy,I always without hesitation tell them EXCALIBUR!When they ask why,I alwa...

Re: Factory Firebolts with Lumenoks...

I had a partial dry fire using the Firebolts with Luminocks. What I figured out was the vane did not sit completely flat/level in the channel of the rail. This slight height caused a semi dry fire.I think the vanes on the Luminocks are a tad bigger than regular Firebolts. When you load the arrow, you ha...

Re: Shot distance for deer hunting

Last season I ranged a big doe and her 3 yearlings at 53 yards while sitting in a 16' ladder stand. The 3 yearlings walked directly on an angle all the way to my ladder stand never once looking at me.However the big doe who was walking behind the 3 yearlings eventually made eye contact with me at app...

Re: help?? at indoor range new bolts do great at 20yrds but.

KegBelly had a very good suggestion.Try a totally different make arrow. Not a different Bloodline arrow from the batch you bought.Using another brand arrow should tell you right away whether the arrows you bought are bad(wrong for your bow),or if there is some other problem related to the bow/scope i...

Re: O.T.- Carp Shooting

Are there any set ups for shooting with a crossbow(Excalibur).I was on another crossbow web forum and had heard of people using crossbows for carp shooting.Michigan just allowed using crossbows for shooting fish.I have not seen any set ups for using a crossbow.

Re: Whats Better

I've never hunted a turkey with a bow.Would I use a broadhead or a different type head?I've used Judo Points when hunting small game with a bow but was wondering what the most common head to use for turkey.I'm wondering if the type of broadhead used would make a difference in damaging meat on the tu...

Re: Rinehart 18-1 targets, and arrow removal?

I use an old piece of left over soap bar.I just rub the last 6 inches of the arrow with it.Works pretty good plus found a use for the small piece of soap.

Re: Good range finder

I have the Simmons 600 model.Paid $115,and $15 more dollars for an extended 3 yr warranty.Runs on 9 volt battery.States yardage up to 600 yards.Never had the opportunity to shoot my bow that far yet.Used it for rifle/shotgun hunting.Never shot a deer more than 100 yards.Just used the scope on my gun...

Re: outdoorama Novi MI

Last time I went to the Outdoorama I was wanded for weapons. When they discovered I was carrying concealed with a police badge,I was denied access. They told me no weapons were allowed and to put my gun in my vehicle and they would let me in.Of course I declined and have never been back since.I don't ...

Re: Deer Crossing arrows

I also bought a half dozen arrows.I only use them for target shooting. From my personal view point I would not use them as a hunting arrow. The arrows shot very well for target but not good enough when I put my broadheads(150 grn Boltcutter)on them. The arrows are tough and hold up well for target shoo...

Re: Rangefinder Dilema

I bought a Simmons 600 model for $115 at Walmart.Never had any problems with it.You can get an extended 3 year warranty for another $15.Runs on a 9 volt battery.pretty good price for what it does.I only use mine for bowhunting.Unit will range up to 600 yards.Never tried it at that distance.

Re: Luminocks

I purchased my arrows with the Luminocks already installed(3 Pack Fire Bolt Arrows). The first arrow I fired at a deer resulted in a semi dry fire. The arrow traveled a distance of 33 yards. When I recovered the arrow, the fletching was crimpled and the arrow was busted 3/4 down the shaft but still in o...

Re: Shrink to fit vanes?

I used them on Easton Aluminum Arrows(2216).The arrows were cut to 20" length, use to use them on my compound bow.Every arrow I put the shrink vanes on flew 3' left of bullseye.Put the same shrink vanes on a Fire Bolt Carbon arrow and arrow flew dead center every shot out to 40 yards. Was using a...
