Excalibur Crossbow Forum

Thanks so much to each of you who responded. The string on the crossbow is pressed firmly into the black rubber bumpers/shocks. Apparently that is a bad thing. How do I adjust things to correct the situation ?

I worked with dead big game animals for over 3 decades with a F&G Dept. and have been hunting for over 50 years (deer, caribou, moose, elk). To answer xcaliber's request for info about me - I am 5'11", 205 lbs., age 57, and work in the woods (chainsaw, etc.). I am undecided between the Matrix 355 and the 380.

If you could have any crossbow, and outfit it with proper gear (arrows, broadheads, targets, shooting sticks, arrow puller, etc.), what would you choose ?
