DuckHunt,
Looking at your crossbow list, I don’t think you’re an addict. But, caution is advised.

New Xbows, BHs, scopes, etc
I’m on 3 crossbow boards: CT,CBN and Excal. There is a natural , common thread on the boards : the latest and greatest. The Excalibur board seems to not participate quite as much concerning the latest and greatest. That’s good! With crossbows approaching $3,000 US$, and seeing that some users have a...

Re: mechanical broad heads
DuckHunt,
You are correct about some of the early, expandible versions. I shot and killed deer with the infamous Pucketts.
Concerning both fixed and expandible broadheads, there are many great ones and certainly, IMO, not any single one of them is best for all situations.

Sorry, we’re down to 60 days left in Arkansas. But antlers will soon be dropping.

Re: Morning or afternoon hunts
Overall, afternoon. Generally see most deer the last hour of the day. Big deer the last 15 minutes.
During Dec-Jan - fair amt of deer movement 10-2. Really big deer, last hour of the day.

Re: charger crank on matrix stocks
I did and don’t think I had to drill any holes. Whatever, it was easy enough that I don’t remember any difficulty at all. I love the Charger and use it on my BD400.

Re: BC Proposal to BAN Scopes on Crossbows
Paul, it may be elitism but companies like Ravin gave them the cannon fodder. Meet you next rifle??? I agree totally. As a avid traditional bowhunter for over 60 years, I passionately despise the arrogance and self serving mind(less)set of many of the “bowhunting” groups. They are like ...

Re: Crossbow prices
Buying lightly used is extremely cost effective. Getting the latest and greatest at full retail price isn’t , and sometimes has quite a risk. How many glowing threads, posts on the Nitro XRT and Nemesis 480 have you seen lately? Selling used crossbows all set up to hunt: scope, arrows broadheads, si...

Re: Another optimizer question
New Vortex for $250!!! Though I don’t own one, the 200# Vortex is one of my favorite xbows. I’d certainly buy one for $250!
