Re: Having fun at 100.

Hey Woodspike I meant to ask. What made u go to 175 grain points just curios ? There are a few reasons why I chose my heaviest bolt as a starting point. First being, I wanted to make sure that my scope setup had enough elevation adjustment to compensate for the drop of a heavy bolt... Any point wei...

Re: Matrix

Do you know when the 18" diablo bolts are going to be available for sale? I bought the Matrix 355 (incredible piece of machinery by the way). But am having issues trying to find replacement bolts. It doesn't seem like anyone is carrying them yet, besides what come with the package. If you have...

Re: Having fun at 100.

I was wondering how much difference there is in penatration between say 20 yrds or so and 100 yrds. Is there more or less ? Penetration was less at 100, but I can't say for sure how much... Will add that to my list of measurements to take tomorrow. The bolts I ended up using were GT III's (courtesy...

Re: Having fun at 100.

Is that picture from a 100 yd shot? If so, I would have thought that the entry angle would have been steeper. That bolt looks like it was shot from 20 yds. Yes, that is a 100 yard shot... Unfortunately there is no way for me to prove it, which is why I'm hoping to get video tomorrow... :| EDIT: I g...

Having fun at 100.

Spent most of the afternoon working my way back from 50, but I finally got it done. Using Burris Zee Offset rings with the Shadow-zone scope, She's on at 100 yards. http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k481/bryan_r1/ZeeRings-1.jpg http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k481/bryan_r1/100yards.j...

DH- Take a deer at 7 yards with a longbow, and tell me it's not a rush.

First year with the Excal, all my kills were around 20 yards... Might be willing to stretch it to 35 next year if the conditions are right.

Re: New trail camera

Not sure if they're made anymore, but my Wildgame Innovations x6c has served me very well for the past two years... Great picture quality, day or night. The only complaint I have is that once temps drop below freezing, standard batteries tend to fail... An external battery pack took care of the prob...
