It won't change anything. A few disgruntled US hunters who go home unhappy, or who don't bother to come to Canada, won't be enough to change the policies of the US Gov't. It won't make "fart in the wind" difference to the farmers as far as loss of income is concerned. The few bucks they mi...

The photograph by itself is neither political nor racist. It demonstrates really bad firearms safety. The comment about "South African Firearms Instructor" is not necessarily racist nor political. Maybe the guy is a firearms instructor from South Africa. Wherever he is from, he needs some ...

Elk Taken with ExoMag

I saw a cow elk that had been shot from a tree stand. The hunter was using 125 grain Slick Tricks on some kind of aluminum arrow. The shot was about 12 yards. The arrow passed completely through each side of the rib cage, and buried itself about 4" into the ground! That is some kind of power!

Carl You don't have to be smart to be elected to public office. You don't have to be honest to be elected to public office. When you are elected to public office you don't have to speak for all your constituents, or even a majority of your constituents. As long as a plurality of your constituents fe...

I think this thread has become a good example of why it would be better not to delete a thread. The poll may possible to improve in wording so that it was more neutral, but the idea of a poll on this subject was a darned good idea, Wabi. It has gone awry, not because of the topic, but because of ind...

Pushing some threads off the top of the page

I don't mean to be hogging the forum with a lot of posting. I was hoping to push the topics that need it (you know what I mean) to the next page.

How about a bit of help?

Maybe then they will fade into memory?

The Yukon is such a beautifull area of Canada, and the highway ( when I travelled there) was excellent. My wife and I were planning a motorcycle trip there this summer from Manitoba but our travelling partners had to back out. Should have been a wonderfull trip though.

I haven't bothered to get flip up caps for the scope on my xbow. Not that they aren't a good idea, because they are. All my rifles do have them, though, for those scopes that the flip ups are available.

I missed the earlier discussion about the merits of Mark's stocks. Are they mainly a cosmetic improvement, or is there some performance advantage? Are they expensive? Waiting time?

I wondered about noise reduction as a goal, mainly because it annoyed me when I was shooting. I doubt that we ever could reduce the level to the point it would not alert a deer since their hearing is so sensitive.

If we resist registration/confiscation, and there are a lot of unregistered firearms around, then make ammo hard/impossible to obtain.

You can bury all your firearms in your back yard, but without ammo, they aren't much good to anyone are they?

We stand to lose potential good participation by requiring all to register in order to post. Someone who is just surfing but has a question may not want to bother to register in order to ask, and may never come back. I posted as "guest" for some time although I registered in 2002. I couldn...
