I saw on one review site where they put an IR flash range extender of some type on the Bushnell & were getting very good nighttime IR images, about on par with the high end cams. It sucks that you have to buy extra equipment to get comparable quality IR images but even with that it's cheaper tha...

Squirt a dab of penetrating oil on it, like PB blaster & let it soak for a while & try again later. Personally I'd avoid the torch.....
