Re: magnus bullhead broadheads
Reading this thread I decided to put the 100g bullhead blades on in place of the 125g today to see if there was any difference. I was happy to see that they hit just slightly to the right of my regular head at 15 yards but past that they get unreliable so if one comes inside of 15 yards i may ge a c...

Re: Doh!!!!!
I have an exomax and just bought a new micro to hunt with. I thought of putting the exomax up for sale but I have killed so many critters with it and have such good memories of hunting with it I just can't ! Sorry for your loss and to rub it in!

Re: Gearing up for Turkey
I put my 20 inch arrows on with the 125 bullheads I used with my compound and they hit 6 inch right and low at 20 yards i went through this with them on my compound too. I'm not going to mess with them so I am just going to use my deer head again. On a side note I saw the flock that roosts near me t...

Re: Finished Product
Nice deer and mount ! I only need a couple more preference points and then may try for one of those Iowa giants. Just hope that the NR licence doesn't go up again before I can hunt LOL

Re: Excalibur vs Texas Hogs
Thats awesome ! I hunted rio grande turkeys in the spring on my buddies lease in texas the past 5 years. He is always saying to shoot the hogs if I see them. But I must be snake bit as I have only seen their tracks. I don't hunt anywhere near the feeders or water holes so I guess that could be why I...

Re: best crossbow target
I have a rinehart 18-1 target and really like it. i also put a little wax on the arrow when shooting especially when its cold out seems to stop the target from melting and attaching to the arrow as much.

Re: Long Range Crossbow Hunting !
... as an example the first person to come to mind is Ironoggin....and I have no doubt that whatever he's shooting at, he knows exactly what that animal is doing and where his arrow is going. Why Thanks Buddy!! That was mighty kind of you! :D I rather agree that " effective range "...

Re: Micro and Quills
When I purchased the micro 335 it came with 4 quill shafts and I was already thinking of replacing them. My exomax never liked the flat nocks and shot way better with a half moon type nock so I figured I would get new arrows for the micro. I also shoot 100 gr thunderheads out of my exomax and bought...

Re: Carbon arrow tuning question
Thanks for the info newbie. A number of years ago when I first started messing around with making up my own arrows I purchased a few hot glue tubes. I was told to use them instead of permanent glue so I could change the inserts if required later. I was told the glue was high temp that they used for ...

Re: Carbon arrow tuning question
I am surprised to here that they use a permanent glue. I have swtched the inserts on my arrows 3 times now messing with the weight and how would you do this with a permanent glue. On some of the shafts I bought the knocks are glued in I am assuming with this permanent glue so now I am stuck with the...
