Re: Record book Veryical bow moose Point blank
Gotta love the comments, guys comparing moose to a grizzly bear.
My god the guy had at least two Camara men you can see behind him, probably the guide with a winmag trained and probably the cook too.
With that said, they probably all shat themselves. Great video, Awesome footage.

Re: Swat confession
You never know. Buddy of mine hunts coyotes daily all winter over dogs. Hit one with a 243 and left it for a couple hours. Went to get it later and as he was dragging it back through the snow, he started feeling resistance and his dog looked back and went ape shat. The 'yote had woke up and was sitt...

Re: Excalibur Beacon Illuminated Nock
I glued some in with hot glue. The only downside is that after taking the time to cut square and finish the shaft, the glue in between the aluminum insert does away with all the effort to true the shaft. But I also want then to be removable, so who knows. There is no free lunch. The nocks themselves...

Re: Broadheads.
One thing to mention when selecting a 3 vs 4 blade cut. The cut on a 3 blade cut creates a triangle shaped wound, if you can imagine the outer most points of the cut connected by an invisible line. Similarly, the 4 blade will creat a square. Square are weak and any point that you push on will ultima...

By adding single "Aider" to each of those you can easily go 16-20'. And you can tie Aiders yourself with simple Amstel.

I have yet to shoot an animal with the TOTA. But I will add I have not found a fixed head that flies are consistently as they do. They are a good head.

Re: Bull Dog 400 Limb Fracture
Today was opening day of the bow season and when I strung my crossbow, the right limb cracked about midway, just as I got it cocked. Was a little stressful decocking as I thought it was going to let loose, but no problem. Does anyone know where I could get a new limb or two new limbs? What limbs wo...

Re: Blood tracking lights
I didn't pull the trigger Don. Two hunting buddies that were with me connected. After a couple of hard years where weather wouldn't cooperate i consider that a win! X2  Hi5: i think all that you see as red is blood, the black is shadow, it looks like a lot since the cam is pretty close to ...

Re: Hunting camera
Tactacam does have a mount to fit a one-inch diameter scope tube, don't they? I don't know if I would use their under the barrel mount option on my rifles unless ya'll show me the error of my ways. I use a one-piece scope mount, so I don't have rails on my rifles. I know they have a mount that will...

Re: The difference between Weaver and Picatinny
It is certainly a little frustrating since anything that is designed for Pic doesn't fit the stock excal gear without having the rail modified. Any brand name Red dot base or the tactical accessories immediately come to mind.
