Where are the "kids" crossbows
After looking at tons of vertical bows and crossbows at ATA I have been discussing archery with my friends at school and on other forums (not all hunting or shooting). Something finally stood out. A lot of the vertical bow companies make a "youth" model. They call it that but actually most...

Re: The Horizontal Zone
I looked at it and put some comments but every time I submit them I get a message that says suspected Bot. Then I wrote the whole thing over again and same thing. I give up on the comment. I hope that site gets the bugs worked out so the comments don't do that.

Re: OT: GradDaddy's Gun
My Dad is a retired PH so I asked him about your scope. I said you wrote it is fixed power and fine crosshairs and the adjustments are exposed. I also said it was on an older Winchester 88. He said "Weaver J Series" or "J.C. Higgins". When he gets home I will show him the picture...

Re: Why the black crossbows
I wear all black when I am in a ground blind so I blend in with the background. We've looked in the blind from the outside I can see my camo bow but not me with all black on. So a black bow would be great in the ground blind.

Did some crossbow mathematics today
Since there was no school today I took out the chronograph and did some experimenting. First I weighed different bolts and had 10 weights. Then I shot each bolt 3 times over the chronograph from the Axiom and 3 times from the M380. I averaged the 3 shot velocity. Then I figured out the weight to vel...

Re: Review: Dr Stirrup ArroLok (Quiver)
It is not much heavier if at all and it makes the crossbow balance much better because of where it is mounted.
