Bob, One option you might consider would be to go with a set of Signature Series Zee Rings from Burris and put in Posi-Align Offset Inserts with the maximum amount of offset which might give you enough total elevation adjustment to zero in at a much closer range. Just a thought. http://www.burrisopt...

One thing you may wish to add to the list under prior to shooting would be checking to be sure that your scope is still tightly locked down. I do this by first giving it a slight twist and then giving a push and a pull on the center section of the scope by hand. If everything is still nice and tight...

Wabi, I can post them for you but I will need to know what the distance is from your eye to where the L bracket is on your bow. This is what mine works out to from a 15 ft stand and with a distance of 26.5 inches from my eye to the back of the L bracket on my bow. 10 yd=>1.089 inches 20 yd=>0.626 in...

The spacing is not terribly sensitive to changing stand height beyond a range of 20 yards as the distance to the target starts to act as the dominant term. For example for a stand height of 20 ft for a deer 20 yards away the spacing is .602 inches, with everything else the same and just lowering the...

Mechanical Rangefinding
Mechanical rangefinding is a very effective and inexpensive method of ranging a target. The way it works is that as the distance between you and your target increases the smaller the target will look. Since I was interested in making my own rangefinder for going after deer. To be able to build a ran...

Dryfire warning device version 2
I finally got around to revising my dryfire warning circuit and getting it mounted on my Exomag. I was able to get the number of components down to 2 resistors, 1 phototransistor, 1 IR led, 1 flashing red led, and a battery holder with 2 AAA batteries as the power source. I did run the wires up to t...

Dryfire Warning Prototype
Here is a first build of a dry fire warning system that I came up with. It basically is an infrared LED on the left side and a phototransistor on the right side that acts as a switch similar to the safety switches used in garage doors. When the beam is shining across the red LED's blink and let you ...

Bohning Tower Fletching Jig Adapter
This is an adapter that I built on the lathe to aid in fletching my arrows, the one they sent in the box that does not work without shimming the arrow up is on the left. The last photo shows how close the bottom of the jig's arms come to hitting adapter. It took me a bit of final trimming to get it ...

Ray, Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but if the following article is true then it may not matter if you manually lock your doors or not if your vehicle is still equipped with a working keyless entry system they can get in without you ever touching your key fob. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news...

String Makers Question
I have been building my own 2 bundle flemish dacron strings for a few months now and I was looking to expand into making tri color strings. While looking for knot ideas I came across the eye line splice. This is a method of taking a 3 strand rope and making a non slip end loop by braiding it back in...
